- Size: Approximately 3x4 inches (standard playing card size).
- Placement: Center of the Palm or the Wrist/Forearm.
- Style: Realistic shading techniques (light and shadow) with negative space detailing.
Process & Materials
- Prep: Reference photo approval and tracework/skin-sketching for accurate proportions.
- Paste: 100% Natural, homemade organic henna. Note: Requires 24-48 hours for peak stain color.
- Duration: Application takes approximately 60 to 90 minutes.
Aftercare
- Sealant: Application of lemon-sugar syrup for moisture retention.
- Guide: Instructions provided for stain maximization.

How I Work
- You send a photo or reference - the clearer, the better.
- For tricky portraits, I sometimes do a light sketch (tracework) on the skin to get faces right.
- I only use natural organic portrait mehendi, so no worries about chemicals.
- I’m a bit obsessed with stain quality - I’ll guide you for best color and aftercare.

Hey, I’m Radhika, the one doodling at Caffeinated Henna. Mehendi started for me with my mom’s hands and a lot of childhood excitement. Somewhere along the way, work made things stiff – just lines, no soul. So I take breaks, do a design for myself, and remember that kid who loved messy hands. My dad still gets roped in as my test canvas! I love when clients challenge me, it keeps things real and fun.
