I get the most joy out of doing portrait henna - it’s where I feel most challenged and connected to the people I work with. For me, it’s never just mehendi. Each design is a memory, a tribute, or just pure self-expression, something you carry on your skin for days.
What I Can Create
- Portraits of loved ones, pets, or even yourself - super popular for brides wanting a personalized mehndi portrait design of their partner or family.
- Bollywood and character tributes, from Madhuri Dixit to any anime or Disney style you love. I do a lot of Bollywood celebrity henna art, but honestly, I’m up for anything unusual.
- Mythological and religious figures, like Shiva, Parvati, Radha-Krishna, perfect for festivals or special pujas.
- Full figurative scenes, not just faces - think traditional Maharashtrian couples, or any story you want told in henna.
How I Work
- You send a photo or reference - the clearer, the better.
- For tricky portraits, I sometimes do a light sketch (tracework) on the skin to get faces right.
- I only use natural organic portrait mehendi, so no worries about chemicals.
- I’m a bit obsessed with stain quality - I’ll guide you for best color and aftercare.
When to Get It
- Bridal, engagement, Karwa Chauth, Teej, or just for fun - honestly, you don’t need a reason. If you want to wear your story, I’m here for it.

My Story
Hey, I’m Radhika, the one doodling at Caffeinated Henna. Mehendi started for me with my mom’s hands and a lot of childhood excitement. Somewhere along the way, work made things stiff – just lines, no soul. So I take breaks, do a design for myself, and remember that kid who loved messy hands. My dad still gets roped in as my test canvas! I love when clients challenge me, it keeps things real and fun.
