What makes a bridal design look cluttered versus intentional? It all comes down to mastering the flow of your composition. In my advanced workshops, we spend time mapping out the entire arm, learning how to balance heavy, intricate jaali (grid) work with strategic negative space. This is how you move from just filling space to creating cohesive art that makes your motifs pop. It is less about drawing faster and more about drawing smarter.
Bridal henna is often about managing a very large canvas, and it can be overwhelming if you do not have a plan. My masterclass is designed to help you stop guessing and start executing with precision.
What we cover in the workshop:
- Composition & Mapping: We focus on how to draw straight, equidistant lines on curved surfaces like the arm, and how to plan a layout from elbow to fingertip so the design feels balanced.
- The Power of Negative Space: This is the most common area where artists struggle. I show you how to 'reverse' your henna application, using the empty skin as part of the design to create that high-contrast look that brides love.
- Speed & Stamina: I share the drills I use to keep my hand steady during long bridal bookings, including cone grip techniques that prevent cramping.
- Stain Management: A beautiful design is useless if it does not stain well. We discuss the chemistry of lemon-sugar sealants and clove steam to ensure your client gets that deep, dark color.
Logistics
These are hands-on, in-person sessions held in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai, and Chennai. You do not need to bring anything; I provide a full supply kit including bulk henna powder, oil samples, and practice cones. We will work on practice sheets first, and then move to skin application. Whether you want to fix your grid work or finally master those tricky portrait figures, this course is about getting you to a professional level.
