Whether it's the devotion of Vat Purnima or the celebration of Eid, I design custom henna stories that honor your traditions.

This video shows the freestyle process of creating my Vat Purnima design. You can see how I sketch the figures and build the scene, letting the design flow naturally.

A close-up of the figurative scene for Vat Purnima, showing a woman praying at the base of a banyan tree. The use of negative space and line work helps tell the story.

The other hand of the Vat Purnima design, featuring a beautiful portrait of a woman in traditional attire, ready for the festival.

An elegant and minimal design perfect for Chand Raat or Eid. It features a crescent moon on one palm and an intricate lantern on the other, with delicate matching finger and wrist details.

About Mythological & Festive Designs

I don't rely on stencils or pre-made patterns for my festive work. I prefer to freehand the entire scene directly on your hand after a quick, light sketch to ensure the proportions are just right for your palm. This means your mehendi isn't just a pattern, it is a fluid, custom narrative that fits your hand perfectly.

Festivals like Vat Purnima, Karva Chauth, and Eid are deeply personal, and I believe your henna should reflect that. Instead of copying standard internet designs, I take the time to understand the specific elements you want to include—whether that's a traditional banyan tree scene for Vat Purnima, a crescent moon for Eid, or a specific deity that holds meaning for your family.

My process for these designs starts with a consultation on what you are looking to represent. Because I use 100% natural, homemade organic henna, the application process is a bit different from store-bought cones. I focus on creating a balance between fine line work for details and negative space to make the henna breathe. It is a slow, meditative process.

Since these designs often require more detail—especially when I am drawing faces or figures—I usually recommend setting aside a bit more time for the application. You will also get my full aftercare guide, which is non-negotiable if you want that deep, rich stain. I am obsessed with the final result, so I will make sure you know exactly how to care for your henna so it peaks just in time for your celebration.
