Brigade Cricket Training and Performance
At Brigade Cricket Academy, we focus on grit, technique, and real match results. From high-intensity fitness drills at Sanfort World School to specialized skill correction, we prepare cricketers for the game, not just the practice pitch.
This is what we call *junoon* (passion). This player got his hand injured during fielding, went to the hospital, and came right back to the ground saying, "Sir, I will bowl." This is the dedication we build at our academy; it's about mental toughness, not just physical skill.
We provide complete, age-specific training. This shows our U-10 players working on batting drills, U-12s in a skills session, a U-14 spinner honing his craft, and a young fast bowler perfecting his run-up. We focus on building a strong foundation for every player.
Fitness is the core of our training. Here you can see a multi-station fitness session in action, including agility ladders and hurdle drills. We design these high-intensity workouts to build the stamina and endurance needed for long matches.
We believe a coach must lead by example. Here, I am demonstrating the correct technique for a quick pickup and throw to create a run-out chance. We teach players to be explosive and efficient in the field, saving crucial seconds that win matches.
Running between the wickets is not just about speed, it's a skill that builds long innings. We conduct dedicated drills, even in full pads, to improve this aspect of the game. It’s a fantastic way to boost match-specific fitness and turn ones into twos.
To bowl fast, you need serious power. We incorporate advanced strength training, like barbell deadlifts and hip thrusts, into our programs for fast bowlers. Building a strong posterior chain and core is key to generating pace and preventing injuries.
Rain or shine, the game goes on. For us, a wet ground is just another challenge and an opportunity to have fun while training. This attitude of never stopping for anything is what we call the Brigade mentality.
We are incredibly proud of our trainee, Izhar, who became the 2nd fastest bowler in India at the MRF Pace Foundation trials. This is a testament to his hard work and our dedicated coaching. Our goal is to prepare players for success at the highest levels.
About Featured
In cricket, raw speed is worthless without stability and technique. We don't just run laps; we practice running between wickets in full pads to turn singles into doubles, teaching players to value every run. Whether it is raining or the sun is beating down on the Sanfort ground, our drills focus on making you match-ready, not just 'fit'. This is the difference between a casual player and a winner.
Cricket training at Brigade is about building a foundation that doesn't rely on shortcuts or middlemen. We treat every session as a process. You will see our players doing duck walks and high-intensity agility drills on natural grass, because cricket is played on the ground, not in an air-conditioned room. We focus on the 'tapasya'—the hard work that happens when nobody is watching.
Our training structure is designed for results:
- Technique First: We break down batting stances, head positions, and footwork from day one. We don't just watch you play; we correct your biomechanics using video analysis to ensure your action is efficient.
- Match Simulation: We don't just net practice. We simulate Test match pressure and situational scenarios. From sliding drills on wet surfaces to high-pressure run-out practice, we teach you to think under stress.
- Proven Results: Our commitment to the process works. We are incredibly proud of our trainee, Izhar, who was selected as the 2nd fastest bowler in India at the MRF Pace Foundation trials. That didn't happen by accident; it happened through disciplined strength training, specifically focusing on the posterior chain and core stability.
If you are ready to sweat, learn, and put in the hours, you are welcome here. We don't offer fancy promises—we offer a path to becoming a serious cricketer.
Brigade Cricket Academy
Cricket is a tapasya. I don't believe in shortcuts or middlemen to succeed in this game. I teach my students to be self-reliant, hardworking, and match-ready so they don't have to look for help outside their own performance. If you have the junoon, come train with us.
