Core Strength and Conditioning for Cricket
A strong core is the foundation for every sixer and fast spell. We don't believe in shortcuts; we build cricket-specific stability through functional movement and raw mehnat.
A strong core is vital for elite athletes. This exercise, a plank with hands on a stability ball and feet elevated, is an advanced movement we use to build exceptional core stability and upper body strength.
This is one of the best core strength exercises for a fast bowler. The medicine ball exchange between the hands and feet challenges the entire abdominal wall, building the rotational power needed to bowl with speed.
A look at our circuit training for athletes, designed for both weight loss and strength gain. This session includes a mix of plyometrics like burpees, strength work like dumbbell presses, and cardio on the stairs.
This shows the direct link between *mehnat* (hard work) in the gym and *parinaam* (results) on the field. The player's dedicated strength training translates into a confident performance and runs scored in a match.
About Core Strength & Conditioning
We don't just lift weights to build muscle. My training splits your time between the Sanfort World School ground for agility—using ladders and hurdles—and the gym for biomechanics. Whether you need rotational power for bowling or stability for batting, we train the movement, not just the muscle. Come ready to sweat, because the field doesn't care about gym records.
Building a Bulletproof Core
Talent gets you noticed, but stamina keeps you in the game. In cricket, every movement starts from your center. If your core is weak, your bowling action loses power, and your batting stance lacks balance. We train with a clear goal: to make your body match-ready.
How We Train
My approach is split into two environments:
- On-Ground Agility: We use the natural grass at Sanfort World School for high-intensity work. We run drills with ladders, cones, and mini-hurdles to ensure your footwork is quick and your stability is solid under pressure.
- Gym Conditioning: For specialized work, we use medicine balls and Swiss balls to build rotational power. This is specifically for those looking to bowl faster or hit the ball cleaner.
Why This Matters for Your Game
- Fast Bowlers: We use specific medicine ball exchanges to engage the abdominal wall, which is critical for generating speed in your run-up.
- Batters: You need a stable base to generate power for those sixes. We focus on bodyweight exercises like duck walks and circuits that mirror the intensity of a long innings.
This is not a fancy gym program. It is a grind. If you show up, we will put in the work to make sure you are not just fit, but ready to perform when the match pressure is high.
Brigade Cricket Academy
I'm not here to build bodybuilders; I'm here to build cricketers. My students know that every session starts with sweat, focus, and the right technique. Come ready to work, and I will show you how to turn that effort into performance.
