Talent gets you noticed, but fitness keeps you in the game. We run high-intensity speed and endurance drills on the ground to build match-ready cricketers.

Here we are working on a player's run-up and running technique using a series of hurdles. These drills are designed to improve rhythm, coordination, and explosive power, helping our fast bowlers build pace and consistency.

Sprinting is non-negotiable for a fast bowler. This U-14 boy is pushing through a session of 50 sprints, building the explosive speed and endurance required to bowl long, fast spells. You can see the determination even when he's tired.

A typical "Speed Day" at the academy. Players are engaged in high-intensity sprints to build their acceleration and top-end speed. This kind of training is essential for quick singles, aggressive fielding, and a fast bowler's approach.

We regularly conduct the Yo-Yo test to measure and track our players' aerobic endurance. It's a benchmark for fitness in modern cricket, and our scores show the results of consistent, hard training.

A glimpse into our varied fitness circuits. You can see a player doing hurdle jumps to improve explosive power and another tackling the duck walk, a tough bodyweight exercise for building leg and core strength.

This is a great exercise for agility training, forcing the player to change direction quickly while maintaining balance and speed. These cone drills directly translate to better movement in the field and quicker reactions.

Perfecting the art of running between the wickets on a hard surface. Notice how this young cricketer expertly switches the bat in his hand during the turn, a small but vital detail we teach for efficiency and speed.

This is a run-up drill using cones and hurdles to ensure a smooth and quick approach to the crease. We recommend our fast bowlers practice this at least once a week to improve their rhythm and momentum.

When a bowler is struggling with a stutter in their run-up, we use targeted drills like this one with cones and hurdles. This helps correct their stride pattern and build a more fluid, powerful approach.

A little friendly competition during a sprinting drill with our junior players. Pushing each other is a great way to build speed and develop a competitive spirit from a young age.

About Speed, Agility & Endurance Drills

We treat fitness as tapasya, not a shortcut. Whether it is using PVC mini-hurdles to fix a bowler’s stuttering run-up or tracking your Yo-Yo test scores to measure aerobic capacity, our sessions are designed to build match-ready endurance for real cricket conditions, not just for the gym.
