Maximizing Underused Spaces In many urban residential schemes, stilt areas remain cold, grey zones used only for parking. We see these as hidden assets. By introducing color-coded EPDM flooring and thoughtful lighting, we convert these concrete footprints into sheltered, semi-open play zones that are accessible regardless of the weather.
Designing for Safety and Flow Our process begins with analyzing the site's sun path and existing infrastructure. We prioritize clear sightlines so parents and supervisors can monitor activity from nearby seating areas. We do not just place equipment; we establish a relationship between the play zone and the surrounding landscape—using buffer planting to create a natural boundary while ensuring airflow remains unrestricted.
Technical Attention to Detail From the drainage of water features near play zones to selecting equipment that encourages development—like spinners, bucket swings, and climbing frames—every element serves a purpose. Whether it is a project like 'Pixelscapes,' where we utilized bright, abstract graphics to define movement, or a courtyard layout where natural materials take center stage, our goal is to build environments that invite children to put down screens and engage with the world.
