Material & Mood Boards for Home Interiors
A look at the textures and palettes that shape a home. Every space starts with a vision, and this is where mine begins.
I always try to bring a touch of nature inside. A beautiful Monstera plant can add life, color, and a sense of calm to any corner of a home.
A mood board for a textured minimalist design. This palette combines different fluted and smooth surfaces with black and brass accents to create a look that is sophisticated and modern.
A palette of some of my favorite materials. I love the combination of natural stone, fluted surfaces, and warm wood to create interiors that are tactile and inviting.
A beautiful and calming color palette inspired by natural pebbles. The gradient of earthy, neutral tones is perfect for creating serene and grounded interior spaces.
Inspiration from a fellow designer in China. I absolutely love the use of arches and monolithic forms in this textured, minimalist space. It's pure architectural poetry.
About Material & Mood
When we start a project, I don't just show you a color swatch. We sit with real samples—a piece of fluted wood, a slab of marble, or a finish swatch. You need to touch the materials because how light hits a textured wall in a Mumbai high-rise is completely different from how it looks in a photo online.
Designing a home is like composing a symphony of textures. When I create a mood board, my goal is to translate your personality into something physical. Whether we are aiming for a textured minimalist look with fluted panels and gold accents or an earthy, serene vibe inspired by nature, the material selection is where the story actually begins.
Why Material Samples Matter
In my studio, we prioritize tactile experiences. We look at:
- Textures: How light plays off matte surfaces vs. high-gloss acrylics.
- Durability: Checking the actual weight of stone and the resilience of wood veneers.
- Cohesion: Seeing how the marble flooring matches the metallic inlays of your joinery.
This process helps us avoid the 'magazine look' that feels cold or staged. Instead, we select combinations that feel like your own personal 'khazana' (treasure). We focus on natural stone, premium wood grains, and soft, neutral palettes that grow with you. If you have been looking for interior design mood boards that actually represent a liveable home, let's sit down and pull together a palette that feels like you.
