About Competitive Karate Training
What Drives Us
"Sangharsh mein aadmi akela hota hai, safalta mein duniya uske saath hoti hai." I really believe this. Struggle is a solo ride but when you win, everyone wants to be there. If you've ever felt alone chasing a big goal, you’ll fit right in with the BKA TEAM.
Training Under Real Masters
At Bharat Karate Academy, I train under Hanshi Bharat Sharma Sir, my guru and the brains behind everything. His links with World Karate Federation and Karate Association of India mean we don’t mess around with outdated stuff. Daily training is tough and guided by our Senior Coach, Sensei Susheel Colvin.
How We Build Champions
We go deep into sport karate drills and advanced kumite sparring. Expect high-speed practice, real competition vibe, and full gear. No shortcut - you’ll sweat, maybe curse a bit, but you’ll get better.
- Physical conditioning is hardcore: wheelbarrow push-ups, strength circuits, stamina drills.
- We don’t ignore stretching. Flexibility sessions happen daily so kicks are high and injuries stay low.
Our Track Record
We win medals. Coach Cup, Delhi Olympic Games - our team’s names are on those certificates. Both boys and girls train together, and every win is earned.
The Dojo Vibe
Our dojo isn’t fancy, but it’s intense. Everyone backs each other. You learn teamwork, focus, and how to survive when the pressure is real.

My Story
We are Bharat Karate Academy. I’m Susheel Colvin, the Senior Coach, but honestly, I’m still a shishya (disciple) with my guruji, Hanshi Bharat Sharma. Guruji is the backbone, always guiding us, and honestly, he’s the best teacher you’ll ever meet. Here, we’re not just players, we’re a team – BKA family. We train, stretch, win, and lose together. Guruji says, ‘Struggle alone, succeed together.’ That’s our daily mantra.
