I do not just copy your photo. I rebuild the portrait from scratch using a mix of airbrushing for the background and fine brushwork for facial details. The Art of the Portrait
Every portrait is hand-painted on a double-primed medium-grain cotton canvas. I work primarily with two mediums:
- Acrylics: Best for vibrant colors and faster drying, ideal for modern portraits.
- Oils: Perfect for classic, rich blending that gives skin tones a lifelike depth.
How We Work Together
When you share a photo, I look at the lighting, the mood, and the small details—like the texture of a saree or the reflection in someone's eyes. I use airbrushing to create a smooth, gradient background that makes the subject pop, then move to fine brushes for the features.
Practical Details
- Timeline: A high-quality realistic portrait requires time for layering and detail. Please reach out at least 2 weeks before you need the final piece.
- Finishing: Your portrait comes on a wooden stretcher bar, ready to hang, or rolled in a tube if you prefer. I seal every piece with a gloss or matte varnish to protect the paint from dust and UV rays for years.
- Shipping: Whether you are in Delhi or elsewhere in India, I pack every piece with layers of butter paper and bubble wrap to ensure it reaches you safely.
