Meet the writers who found their tribe, honed their craft, and shared their stories with us.

"Everyone has stories." A BWWer shares how the workshop helped him reconnect with his own life and find a community where he could share his point of view.

An "accidental poet" shares her journey of stumbling into BWW and ending up with her work published in our anthology, 'The BWW Book of Emerging Poets'.

A recent graduate of the BWW Classic course explains how the program pushed her out of her comfort zone, forcing her to explore new genres and learn the art of reading like a writer.

"It's about how to read." A participant shares how the BWW Classic course fundamentally changed her perspective, teaching her to judge the true value of a text, a lesson she highly recommends.

A member of our Midweek Literature Appreciation workshop discusses the fun of reading classic plays aloud and the rich, multi-dimensional discussions that bring new perspectives to timeless characters.

A BWW Classic graduate reflects on how the critiques from the community helped him understand his shortcomings and develop as both a reader and a writer.

An eight-week unforgettable journey. A writer shares her experience of discovering she could write, exploring new ideas, and having insightful discussions in the BWW Classic workshop.

A beginner writer talks about how the BWW Classic workshop tested his resilience but ultimately made him a better writer by showing him exactly where he needs to improve.

A participant recommends the BWW Classic for its accountability and for introducing him to a wide range of authors and reading materials he wouldn't have discovered on his own.

A writer explains how our literature appreciation courses are more than just reading; they are about learning the craft of how to write a timeless classic by analyzing them with a community.

About Student Voices: Hear From Our Writers

If you are worried about another boring lecture, take a breath. Our workshops are intentionally designed for group critique and peer interaction, not passive listening. You will spend most of your time dissecting drafts, engaging in role-play, and getting real-time feedback from fellow writers who genuinely care about your progress.

Whether you are a beginner looking to find your voice or a seasoned writer needing a push to finish that draft, our workshops at Indiranagar and online are built on a simple premise: writing is hard, but doing it together makes it possible. We have moved past traditional lecture-style teaching. Instead, our sessions, ranging from the BWW Classic Foundation Course to our Literature Appreciation groups, focus on peer critiques, deep-dive discussions, and rigorous editing.

Our community is the heartbeat of BWW. You will find that our members are not just here to write; they are here to read deeply, critique kindly, and hold each other accountable. Many of our writers come in skeptical or shy, but they leave with a finished manuscript and a group of friends who understand the struggle of the blank page. We believe in the power of the group to help you see your own blind spots, whether you are drafting a short story or analyzing a classic play. If you are ready to stop talking about writing and actually do the work, come join us.

I am Bhumika, the founder of BWW. I have built this space not just for craft, but for the community that forms when writers actually show up for each other. We are a family of accidental poets, storytellers, and writers, and we would love to have you in the mix.
