Welcome to BWW. We are a community of writers—poets, novelists, and storytellers—growing together through rigorous critique, honest feedback, and plenty of shared laughter. Whether you are finding your voice or polishing a manuscript, you have found your tribe.

(Hero Item) This video captures the heart of BWW. Hear directly from our members about their journeys, the skills they've honed, and the community they've found. This is what it feels like to be a part of our family.

This is where the work and the magic happen. A snapshot from our in-person 'Pudus' batch, where writers are deep in focus, bringing their stories to life through dedicated practice and craft exercises.

From a draft to the main stage. Here are our poets at the Bengaluru Poetry Festival, celebrating the launch of 'The BWW Book of Emerging Poets'. This is the kind of success we work towards together.

It's not all about writing, it's also about connection. We love celebrating our graduates with our traditional Cubbon Park picnic, complete with good food, laughter, and the bonds that make our community so special.

We believe in creating opportunities for our writers. The BWW Short Story Award is our way of encouraging new voices and celebrating stories that are told with immense heart and craft.

Go deeper into your craft with our specialized workshops. Here, a writer shares his experience with our advanced Characterization course, a collaboration with a psychotherapist to unlock a new level of creative consciousness.

Our online workshops are just as lively and connected. A glimpse into our Midweek Play Reading course, where we dive into classics like 'Cat on a Hot Tin Roof', complete with deep analysis and even a surprise feline participant.

We are so proud of our writers' achievements. Here, BWWer Bashari Chakraborty is recognized with the Ukiyoto Award for Best Woman Writer of the Year for her book, a testament to her hard work and talent.

The BWW vibe is pure magic. This is the after-party, the shared smiles, and the instant connections formed at the Bengaluru Poetry Festival. This is what happens when you find your tribe.

Ready to start your own writing journey? Our BWW Classic course is the perfect gateway. It's your chance to learn, have fun, and meet other writing enthusiasts in a supportive, inspiring environment.

About Featured

At BWW, we trade boring lectures for hands-on peer critique. Whether you join our classic 8-week course at Work365 Indiranagar or our online cohort, expect your drafts to be dissected with care. We take our craft seriously, but we don't take ourselves seriously—which is why our graduations involve potlucks at Cubbon Park rather than stiff ceremonies.

The BWW Approach

We built this community to stop you from being a 'serial first-drafter.' Our workshops, led by mentor Bhumika Anand, focus on deconstructing narratives. You won't find traditional lectures here. Instead, you get 80% peer-critique and 20% craft analysis. We break down POV, character dynamics, and narrative structure until your story actually works.

Courses for Every Stage

Our flagship BWW Classic course runs over 8 weeks, turning vague ideas into finished pieces. For those ready for more, our advanced genre tracks—like the Poetry and Short Fiction workshops—move beyond foundations into publication readiness. We are proud to have supported writers like Bashari Chakraborty, who went on to win the Ukiyoto Award, and many others featured in the 'BWW Book of Emerging Poets.'

Beyond the Page

This is a support system. We host the BWW Short Story Award to encourage new voices and keep the literary scene in Bengaluru vibrant. Whether you are joining our online cohort to master memoir writing or stepping into our physical studio for deep-dive character analysis, you are joining a network that stays with you long after the workshop ends. This is where you find readers who get your work and friends who cheer for every win. You walk in a stranger and leave with a tribe.

I started BWW in coffee shops with a simple dream of connecting writers. Today, it has grown into a space where strangers become family and stories find their soul. I am here to help you get unstuck, hone your voice, and finally finish the project you have been putting off.
