About Inside Our Workshops
We don't do classrooms. We do circles. Whether you're at our Indiranagar space or joining from a Zoom room, you'll spend about 80% of your time giving and receiving rigorous peer critique. It sounds intense, but it is the only way to finally break the cycle of being a serial first-drafter. You won't just learn about grammar or POV; you'll figure out why your character is making that bad choice and if your story rings true to the reader.
Our methodology is built for action, not theory. We believe that writing is a contact sport, which is why we’ve stripped away the lecture-heavy approach in favor of hands-on exercises and meaningful feedback.
The BWW Way
- Peer Critique: Your draft will be read by your peers and mentored by us. We don't sugarcoat feedback, but we do focus on how to make your writing tighter and more honest.
- The Platform: We use WetInk to manage assignments, so you have a dedicated space for your work and reviews.
- Lifelong Access: Once you join, you become part of our alumni network. You'll see batches like the 'Pudus' or 'Sugargliders' staying in touch long after the final class, sharing their wins and supporting each other's publication journeys.
Where We Work
- In-Person: Our foundation batches happen at Work365 in Indiranagar. We keep the space intimate so everyone gets airtime. Bring your laptop, bring your notebook, and be prepared to write on the spot.
- Online: Our virtual cohorts on Zoom work just as hard. We use breakout rooms to simulate the intimacy of a physical room, and yes, your camera needs to be on because we are here to connect.
Whether you are aiming for our classic foundation course or an advanced track in poetry or memoir, come ready to be vulnerable. That is where the best stories live.
