Saree finishing shouldn't be a running-around chore. Whether you need classic baby kuchu or custom embroidered potli designs, I make sure your saree is ready to wear with a finish that feels as good as it looks.

A showcase of two different tassel styles. One is a traditional paisley design in gold thread, and the other is a leaf-shaped potli design, perfect for silk sarees.

A variety of finished sarees, each with its own unique, handcrafted tassel design. You can see snowflake-like embroidered tassels and beaded floral ones, all custom-made.

A collection of sarees with different tassel designs. I create everything from simple potli tassels to intricate beaded ones, ensuring they perfectly match the saree's border and color.

Making these beautiful tassels requires a lot of hard work and precision. These are made with fabric flowers and beads, designed to enhance the beauty of your favorite saree.

A closer look at the variety of my tassel work. From the red saree with heart-shaped motifs to the navy blue with snowflake designs, each one is a piece of art.

A rich brown saree with delicate gold butis, finished with matching potli-style tassels. This is a classic and elegant choice for silk and crepe sarees.

A lineup of sarees ready for delivery, each featuring a different style of custom tassel work. The red saree has paisley tassels, while the silk saree has an embroidered border.

An intricate embroidered border on a royal blue saree. This kind of detailed work adds a grand and unique touch, making the saree stand out.

I am very proud of my tassel work, as it's one of my specialties. These potli-style tassels are fixed securely and are very durable, perfect for heavy silk sarees like Kanjivaram and Mysore Silk.

About Handcrafted Saree Tassels (Kuchu)

Here is the thing about my tassel work—I always add a protective backing to every piece. It is a small extra step, but it stops the thread work from snagging on your silk or poking your skin. Whether it is a heavy scalloped border or delicate potli work, that backing ensures your saree stays in perfect condition long after the event.

Why My Tassels Last

I hear so many horror stories about tassels falling off after one wear or, worse, pulling the threads of a precious Kanjivaram. That is why I do not just stick designs on; I secure them with reinforced hand-stitching. When you bring your saree to my Rajajinagar studio, my focus is on that 'one-stop' convenience. You drop it off, and I handle the falls, pico, and the kuchu work so you can focus on getting ready for the habba or event.

Customization for Every Saree

  • Potli & Motif Work: If you have seen a design on Pinterest or want something unique like birds, paisleys, or floral motifs, I can recreate it. I use zardozi, beads, and stone chains to match your blouse embroidery.
  • Classic & Minimalist: For those who prefer a subtler look, my baby kuchu and crochet borders are perfect. They add that clean, finished look to office-wear sarees or daily-wear Mysore Silk.
  • Heavy Bridal Finishing: For bridal sarees, I offer full cutwork and scalloped edging. We do this carefully to balance the weight of the pallu so it drapes gracefully without pulling to one side.

The Process

We match thread and fabric shades with 95-100% accuracy. Because I understand that different fabrics need different handling, we select specific needle gauges based on the saree type, whether it is crepe or heavy silk. Everything I do is built around making our hennmakalu (women) feel special without the stress of managing multiple tailors. Bring your saree, and I will make it look chennagi (nice) and complete.

I'm Bhavya, and I started this studio because I got tired of running to three different places for falls, stitching, and kuchu work. I handle everything here so you don't have to stress, especially during the festival rush. My goal is just to make our hennmakalu look and feel special.
