Architecture is a dialogue, not a monologue. I am Ar. Arun Sharma, and my work is a testament to the harmony between the built environment and the five elements of nature.

I've always believed that design is not just what it looks like, but how it feels to walk through. Every space I create tells a story, an experience you can feel as you move through it.

Our designs are deeply connected to the five elements of nature: Prithvi, Vayu, Jal, Agni, and Akash. In this video, I explain why no design feels complete without them and how they enhance the experience of a space.

True design listens to the land and answers with grace. I believe architecture should be a conversation with its surroundings, where structures gently respond to the earth's unique narrative.

Architecture should speak of its time and place, but yearn for timelessness. My goal is to design spaces that balance contemporary relevance with an elegance that will endure for generations.

"Architecture is the learned game, correct and magnificent, of forms assembled in the light." This quote by Le Corbusier perfectly captures my belief in the thoughtful dialogue between structure and illumination.

Nature is at the core of my work. I believe luxury is found in rooting our designs in nature, blending elegance with sustainability to create timeless, harmonious spaces.

I see architecture as a visual art, with buildings that communicate their own essence. My role is to shape these experiences, creating environments that evoke emotion and tell their own stories.

As architects, we dream of designs and then bring those dreams to life for our clients to live in. It is a privilege to turn imagination into a tangible reality that becomes someone's home.

Every piece I design is envisioned and crafted as a sculpture. Here I am in the 'La Solitaire' showroom, a space where every element, from the chairs to the walls, is a unique artistic statement.

In this 'Let's Talk Design' session, I discuss the art of using marble to enhance contemporary spaces. Marble is a material that lasts forever, and its impact, whether polished or in a raw leather finish, is truly great.

About Meet the Visionary: Arun Sharma

I don't believe in using materials just for the sake of aesthetics. When I select exposed concrete or raw stone for your home, it is because these materials breathe and evolve with time, just like we do. My process focuses on ensuring the built structure feels like it has always belonged to the land, rather than simply sitting on top of it.

Every project I take on starts with a conversation about the five elements: Prithvi (earth), Vayu (air), Jal (water), Agni (fire), and Akash (sky). Koi bhi ghar inke bina adhoora hai (No home is complete without these). My design philosophy is rooted in this balance. I look at every site as a blank canvas where the goal is to create a living space that feels like a natural extension of its surroundings.

Designing for the Senses

Architecture should be a tactile experience. You should feel the texture of the wood under your hand and see the light play against an exposed concrete wall. I focus heavily on fenestration and spatial volume—using high ceilings, skylights, and glass bridges to ensure that your home is flooded with natural light. This isn't just about making a room look bright; it is about your mental well-being and bringing 'man ko sukoon' (peace of mind) into your daily routine.

The Process

Before I draw a single line, I listen. I want to understand what makes you feel at home. Whether it is a luxury bungalow in Delhi or a farmhouse escape, my team and I prioritize:

  • Indoor-Outdoor Flow: Eliminating the barrier between your living room and the garden to invite nature inside.
  • Honest Materials: Celebrating the imperfections of natural stone and the timeless aging of concrete.
  • Sustainability: Working with the sun path and wind patterns to design a building that stays comfortable naturally.

When a client walks into their finished home and says, 'Yeh mere sapnon ka ghar hai' (This is my dream house), that is the only success I care about. My role is to bridge the gap between your imagination and the structural reality, turning a plot of land into a sanctuary that truly reflects who you are.
