Private spaces should be more than just functional rooms. I design bedrooms and bathrooms as personal retreats, balancing raw textures with soft light to create a space for real rest.

This tranquil master suite is designed for comfort and luxury. The color palette incorporates natural tones, with a textured grey stone wall behind the bed contrasting with warm wood paneling. Floor to ceiling windows allow for ample natural light, creating a serene atmosphere.

A bedroom designed for ultimate relaxation, featuring a custom, free-form circular bed that flows into an integrated side table. The adjoining bathroom, visible through a glass partition, includes a jacuzzi tub and a dramatic marble wall, creating a seamless, resort-like suite.

This contemporary bedroom brings the beauty of nature indoors with a stunning, autumn-themed wall panel. The large window offers a view of lush green trees, creating a beautiful contrast and a space that changes with the seasons.

A bedroom that masterfully blends textures and tones. The warm wood paneling behind the bed, combined with soft backlighting, creates a cozy and inviting ambiance, perfect for a restful escape.

This luxurious bathroom design is a visual delight. The space features a floating vanity with fluted details, a dramatic backlit art panel, and a stunning marble feature wall, blending color, light, and sophistication to create a spa-like experience at home.

Here, a backlit onyx panel serves as a radiant feature wall behind the twin vanities. The warm, ethereal glow of the stone, paired with dark marble and wood ceilings, transforms the bathroom into a space of dramatic elegance.

This design showcases a seamless integration between a bedroom and a luxurious restroom, connected by a sleek glass door. This open concept maximizes space and light while maintaining privacy, adding a touch of modern sophistication to the home.

This video compilation showcases several classic and opulent washroom designs. From dark, moody spaces with black marble to bright, modern bathrooms with sculptural tubs and intricate lighting, it highlights my versatility in creating sophisticated and luxurious private spaces.

About Sanctuaries of Rest: Bedrooms & Bathrooms

My approach to these personal spaces focuses on the transition between sleep and wakefulness. I often use frameless glass partitions to connect the bedroom and bathroom, allowing natural light to flow uninterrupted while maintaining acoustic privacy. This is about ensuring your morning and evening rituals happen in a space that feels bright, airy, and deeply calm.

When I design a bedroom or a bathroom, I think about how the materials will feel under your touch. A cold, flat surface does not bring peace. Instead, I use split-face stone, warm walnut paneling, and tactile plaster to create depth. For the bathroom, my goal is to transform the daily routine into a sensory experience. By integrating backlit onyx or fluted vanity units, I turn simple functional elements into art pieces that glow with soft light.

In the bedroom, the orientation is everything. I position beds to face green views or skylights, ensuring the first thing you see is nature, not a wall. We can look at integrating features like hidden automation for lighting scenes, so you can transition from bright morning settings to dim, relaxing evening modes with a single tap. If you have an existing layout that feels cramped, I often suggest reconfiguring partitions to merge the suite, creating a spacious flow that makes the room feel twice as large.

Every project starts with a conversation about what brings you peace. Are you looking for a dark, moody space for deep sleep, or a bright, sun-drenched retreat? Whether we are using reclaimed wood for a bedside feature or designing a custom glass shower enclosure, the goal is always the same: a home that supports your well-being, keeping the five elements of nature present in your daily life.

I see every bedroom and bathroom as a private sanctuary, not just a room. My work is about bringing the outdoors in, using stone and wood to ensure that when you wake up or wind down, the space feels like a piece of nature. Let’s talk about how we can build your own quiet retreat.
