Featured Moments in Childhood Photography
Kids grow up in the blink of an eye. This collection highlights my favourite captures, from candid park laughter to cultural celebrations, showing the range of moments I love freezing in time.
There is nothing more precious than a child's laughter, especially when shared with family. I captured this beautiful, candid moment during a first birthday photoshoot, using the soft natural light to highlight their pure joy.
A first birthday isn't complete without a little bit of mess. This cake smash session was all about fun, as little Nitya enjoyed her very own birthday cake. These are the playful, personality-filled moments families cherish.
This pre-birthday shoot for twins Avyaan and Aanshi shows a complete themed setup in an outdoor park. I provide all the props, including the teepee, signage, and teddy bear, to create a magical setting for your child's milestone photos.
Kids' photoshoots aren't just for toddlers. Here, seven-year-old Brishka looks like a fairytale princess in her beautiful blue gown, complete with a floral crown and whimsical birdcage prop for her birthday portraits.
The aftermath of a chocolate cake smash. This close-up of Ivaan captures the innocent, messy fun of being a kid. My goal is to freeze these fleeting, authentic expressions that tell a story.
Celebrating our vibrant culture is a passion of mine. This powerful portrait was taken during the Gudi Padwa Shobh Yatra in Girgaon, capturing a young girl in traditional Maharashtrian attire with a confident gaze.
Sometimes, a simple portrait says it all. The beautiful, curious eyes of six-month-old Anika are the focus of this shot. I use professional equipment to capture these stunning, clear close-ups that you will treasure forever.
A pre-birthday jam session for these adorable twins. Using props like a ukulele and a wooden airplane, we created a playful scene that shows off their budding personalities and the fun we have during our outdoor shoots.
About Featured
You will notice most of these shots happen outdoors in Mumbai's parks rather than a stiff studio setting. I prefer using natural light because it lets children be themselves, whether they are running wild, eating cake, or just exploring, and that leads to the honest, lively expressions you see here.
My approach is simple: I go where the energy is. While I have a full lighting kit, I find that natural sunlight creates a glow that works best for family portraits and kid sessions. In these featured shots, you can see how I use props like rustic teepees, wooden signs, and little toys to create a backdrop that feels like play rather than work.
Why I Focus on Candid Photography
I am not a fan of forced smiles. When you see a child covered in cake or a pair of twins looking at a wooden airplane, that is exactly how they were in that moment. My goal is to capture personality. Whether we are in a quiet corner of a Borivali park or celebrating during a festive event like the Gudi Padwa Shobh Yatra, I try to blend into the background so your child feels comfortable enough to let their guard down.
Gear and Technique
I am a certified photographer and take my equipment seriously. I use Sony A7 series bodies paired with Samyang 85mm prime lenses to get those sharp, clean portraits with a soft, blurred background. It helps me isolate the subject and focus on the emotions—the sparkle in their eyes or the way they hold their hands. This technical focus ensures that even in chaotic situations, the final images are crisp and professional enough to print for your walls.
