Classical Hatha Yoga: My Path and Philosophy
Yoga is not about flexibility for me; it is a tool for profound transformation. At Astita Yogmandir, i share the authentic Hatha Yoga practices i learned at Sadhguru’s Gurukulam, designed to balance your body and mind for true wellbeing.
I don't offer modern yoga fads, only the authentic, classical yoga that I learned. This is because, as Sadhguru explains, Hatha Yoga is a tool for profound inner transformation, which is what I aim to offer in every session.
My journey has been about living intensely and sharing these tools for transformation. From opening Astita Yogmandir to conducting dozens of workshops and programs, every step is an effort to bring more consciousness and wellbeing to people's lives.
An important realization from my own practice is that resting postures are just as vital as the difficult ones. This balance between effort and surrender is a key aspect of Hatha Yoga that I emphasize in my teaching.
My life and work are a continuous process of dissolving into the teachings of my Guru, Sadhguru. His wisdom is the foundation of everything I offer, ensuring the yoga you learn is authentic and alive.
About My Path and Philosophy
You won't find modern fads or quick fixes in my studio. My practice is about sadhana, which means dedicated, consistent effort. Whether we are practicing Surya Kriya or Angamardana, the goal is not just a fitter body, but a shift in how you experience life and handle daily stress. This requires patience and honesty from you, and in return, i offer a path that is both grounded and transformative.
A Journey of Transformation
When i started Astita Yogmandir in DLF Phase 2, my intent was simple: to bring the authentic Hatha Yoga i learned directly from my Guru, Sadhguru, to people who want more than just a workout. We live in a time where yoga is often reduced to a fitness trend, but at its core, it is a powerful system to engineer your inner self.
Why Classical Hatha Yoga?
The practices i teach—Angamardana for strength, Surya Kriya for energy, Bhuta Shuddhi for purification—are classical tools. They do not offer instant gratification. They work on a slow burn principle, requiring you to be involved and disciplined. When you commit to these sessions, you aren't just training muscles. You are learning to align your physical self with your mental and energetic potential.
My Approach
My studio is a small, quiet space designed for focus. Whether you are coming for corporate stress management or a weight loss module, the expectation is the same: integrity in practice. You don't need to change who you are to start, but you must be willing to learn and unlearn. I keep my batches small so i can provide the personal attention needed for proper posture correction and technique, ensuring you get the most out of every movement. If you are looking for a place to truly deepen your inner wellbeing, you are in the right place.
