About The Foundation: Strength & Conditioning
We train outdoors at the Jnanakshki School Ground in RR Nagar, using practical, bodyweight-focused conditioning rather than gym machines. You will see students mastering ab wheel rollouts and partner-assisted exercises—it is tough work, but it is exactly how we build the explosive core strength and agility needed for every tournament.
In karate, power does not come from brute force. It starts in the core and flows through controlled, precise movements. At Ashoka Martial Arts Academy, our conditioning sessions are designed to prepare the body for the physical demands of competition. We do not rely on fancy equipment. Instead, we use the ground as our training floor at Jnanakshki School Ground in RR Nagar.
Our sessions are intense. You will find students working on dynamic flexibility, wheel rollouts for core stability, and partner-assisted drills like weighted squats. These are not just exercises; they are the drills that improve balance, sharpen reflexes, and harden the body for kumite. We also focus heavily on shin hardening and agility, ensuring every student is physically ready for the stress of tournament-level matches.
Consistency is the only shortcut here. Whether you are a beginner looking to build basic fitness or an athlete prepping for state-level championships, the work remains the same: discipline, repetition, and grit. We train rain or shine, and that environment is what builds the mental toughness you see on the mat. If you are serious about taking your martial arts training to the next level, come down for a session. We will show you the work that goes into every punch and kick.
Ashoka Martial Arts Academy
I am Ashok Raju. I started this academy to teach karate as a path to discipline and physical health. I am always there on the mat with my students, spotting them and pushing them to build the real strength needed for competition.
