About Empowering Girls: Self-Defense Workshops
We don't just teach theory. Our workshops focus on high-impact, simple techniques like effective blocks, strikes, and escapes that work regardless of your size or fitness level. The goal is to build the muscle memory required to act instinctively in a real-life situation, whether at school or commuting.
Building Confidence Through Skill
I believe that true safety starts with awareness and ends with the ability to act. In our girls' self-defense workshops, we move away from complex, movie-style movements and focus on what actually works on the street. We teach participants how to identify potential threats early and use body mechanics to gain leverage against an attacker.
Our Approach to Training
Each workshop is customized to the group, whether it is for a school, an NGO, or a private community group. We structure our sessions into three main parts:
- Situational Awareness: Understanding your surroundings and reading body language to avoid trouble before it starts.
- Physical Techniques: Learning simple, repeatable movements like palm strikes, knee strikes, and release techniques from common holds. We emphasize these moves because they require minimal physical strength but provide maximum defensive impact.
- Mindset & Posture: Teaching girls how to carry themselves with authority. Often, the way you stand and the voice you project is the first line of defense.
