Nature and Travel Inspired Art Retreats
My art is a visual diary of the places I visit and the stillness I find there. These trips are where I recharge, sketch, and discover the colors that eventually make their way onto my canvases.
I never travel without my art supplies. This video captures a perfect afternoon painting by the river, a simple yet profound moment of connecting with nature through my art.
A peaceful sunrise over the river in Mysore. Moments like these are pure magic and a reminder of the simple beauty that surrounds us, waiting to be captured on canvas.
Walking through a majestic alley of palm trees. The scale and symmetry of nature often inspire patterns and compositions in my artwork.
A quiet moment enjoying the sunset over the hills of Coorg. The changing colors of the sky are a constant source of inspiration for my color palettes.
During a trip to Udaipur, I found inspiration everywhere, even in the beautiful mural of my hotel room. Travel always fills my creative well.
Admiring the botanical mural in my Udaipur hotel. It's a great example of how art can transform a space and bring the beauty of nature indoors.
A moment of reflection at Dubare Elephant Camp. While beautiful, the experience made me question the ethics of animal tourism and reinforced my belief in protecting animals in their natural habitats.
Feeling free and joyful while crossing the hanging bridge at Kaveri Nisargadhama Forest Park in Coorg. Adventures like these are what make travel so enriching.
A delightful encounter with parrots at a sanctuary. Interacting with wildlife ethically is a beautiful way to appreciate the diversity of our planet.
A short tour of The Barn in Coorg, a beautiful boho-themed resort surrounded by nature. Finding peaceful, inspiring places to stay is a key part of my creative travel process.
About Travel & Nature: My Source of Inspiration
These aren't traditional art classes where you worry about technique. When we travel to places like the forests of Coorg or the heritage alleys of Udaipur, we use painting to slow down and document the moment. You don’t need prior artistic experience to join; you just need a willingness to step away from your routine, put some paint on your fingers, and see what happens.
I believe art is often taught too rigidly, which stops people from ever starting. My retreats are designed to fix that. We focus on the 'why' and the 'how' of observing your surroundings, whether that means sketching in a local cafe or painting at sunrise by a river.
The Retreat Experience
- Domestic Escapes: My 3-day retreats in places like Coorg focus on wellness and nature immersion. We use art as a tool for emotional release, pairing painting sessions with nature walks and mindful movement. It is about letting go, not making a masterpiece.
- International Tours: My 6-day cultural tours are for the traveler who wants to engage with a new country through a sketchbook. We explore landscapes, local food markets, and heritage sites. It’s an active, hands-on way to document your travel memories that feels more personal than taking a photograph.
Who Is This For?
These experiences are for anyone who feels stuck, overwhelmed, or simply curious. You don’t need a portfolio or a formal degree in painting. I keep my groups small so we can have real conversations and everyone gets individual guidance. We ditch the 'art snob' atmosphere entirely. If you have ever wanted to travel but felt like you needed a purpose, these retreats give you one. We embrace the mess, the stray marks, and the accidental spills as part of the creative journey.
The Artist
I'm a doctor turned artist who believes that art shouldn't be about perfection or labels. I create these retreats because I’ve learned that the best way to clear your head is to step into nature and just start creating, no matter how messy it looks.
