Artist-Led Creative Retreats & Healing Art Journeys
Join me for a blend of travel and creative expression. Whether you want to explore the culture of Vietnam or find quiet healing in an Indian nature resort, my retreats are designed to help you reconnect with yourself through art.
Join me on an exclusive, artist-led retreat to Vietnam. This is more than a trip; it's a curated experience designed to immerse you in a new culture while awakening your creativity through guided art sessions and shared stories.
This is what healing in motion looks like. In my art therapy sessions, we use color and canvas, in this case a simple T-shirt, to express emotions without judgment. It’s a powerful way to connect with yourself and others in a safe, creative space.
Watching the sunrise over the river in Coorg, I'm reminded that nature is the ultimate artist. These quiet moments of connection are what I seek to share in my retreats, offering a space to breathe, reflect, and find your own inspiration.
A peek into Day 3 of our Vietnam art adventure. We combine cultural immersion, like a bamboo boat ride in Cam Thanh, with exploring the artisan shops of Hoi An, ending the day with a traditional dinner and lantern boat ride.
Art is best shared. My local art meetups are like a creative picnic, bringing people together in a park to learn new skills, share stories, and enjoy a day of painting and connection under the trees.
I used to wear a white coat as a dentist; now I hold a paintbrush. This journey wasn't just a career change, it was a return to myself. I believe healing can happen in galleries and workshops, not just hospitals, and I bring this passion to every retreat I lead.
About Featured
You do not need prior experience to join these retreats. My approach focuses on process over product, meaning we prioritize emotional release and creative flow over technical perfection. Whether we are painting on a T-shirt for stress relief or sketching in a quiet cafe, the goal is to provide a space where you can be messy, raw, and completely yourself.
Two Paths to Creativity
I design my retreats to serve two distinct needs. The first is for the traveler who wants to engage with a new culture through a creative lens. These international tours, like my recent Vietnam adventure, are about sketching in local cafes, visiting heritage sites, and capturing the energy of a place in your sketchbook. We handle the logistics so you can focus on the experience.
The second path is the domestic wellness retreat. These are curated for those who need to slow down and breathe. Held in nature-focused resorts across India, these 3-day sessions are less about sightseeing and more about introspection. We combine guided meditation with art therapy, using unconventional mediums to release stress.
My Approach to Art Therapy
As someone who transitioned from a clinical background to full-time art, I treat these retreats with the same care I once gave my patients. I don't believe in art snobbery. If you want to paint, you belong here. We use:
- Unconventional Canvases: We move beyond the standard easel to paint on T-shirts, tote bags, and found objects.
- Nature-Based Inspiration: We utilize the environment—riverbanks, forests, and quiet streets—as our mood board.
- Guided Release: I facilitate visualization exercises that help you identify what you need to express before you ever pick up a brush.
Everything is included—supplies, meals, and accommodation—so you can arrive with just your curiosity.
The Artist
I used to spend my days in a clinic, but now I lead creative escapes where the canvas is wherever we decide to set up. I believe healing happens when we stop trying to be perfect and start being present. Come join the mess, the laughter, and the journey.
