My Art Journey: Handmade Creations Inspired by Nature
Every piece I create carries a piece of my heart, shaped by my travels and the simple joys of nature. Here is a glimpse into how I find inspiration for my work.
Here I am at my stall at the Chitra Santhe art fair in Bengaluru. It was a wonderful experience to meet so many art lovers and share my creations with them.
Customers browsing my collection of paintings and crafts at Chitra Santhe. I love seeing people connect with my art in person.
A visitor taking a closer look at my small stone paintings and other handcrafted items at my stall.
A fun memory from Bengaluru Chitra Santhe, where I had a live portrait sketched of me. It's inspiring to see other artists at work.
A short video showing my process of sketching. I was inspired by a photo of me with a beautiful macaw and decided to capture the moment in my sketchbook.
I find great inspiration in nature. Here I am at Lalbagh Botanical Garden, sketching the famous rock formation and temple on a slice of wood.
A quiet moment of art and family at Lalbagh, sitting with my son while I sketch.
About this collection
When I am not at my desk, you will likely find me sketching at Lalbagh or soaking in the architecture at a temple. My art starts long before I pick up a brush; it begins with the peace I find while traveling. If you see a piece here that resonates with your own stories or memories, let’s talk about creating something similar just for you.
Where My Art Comes From
For me, creating art is a form of meditation. It is not just about the final product, but the path I take to get there. Whether I am sitting under a banyan tree at night, observing the intricate patterns of a traditional Rangoli, or sketching at Chitra Santhe in Bengaluru, my environment is my greatest teacher.
The Process of Making
Everything you see in this collection is handmade by me. I avoid factory-made shortcuts because I believe that the human touch—the little imperfections and the unique strokes—is what gives an object its soul.
- Nature-Inspired Sketching: I often carry my sketchbook with me. A macaw I saw, a quiet moment with my son at Lalbagh, or the grand silhouette of the Thanjavur Big Temple—these moments are what I eventually translate onto wood or paper.
- Traditional Roots: My work often dips into Indian folk traditions. I love the texture of Kutch Lippan work and the spiritual depth of Pichwai paintings. By combining these time-honoured techniques with modern resin or contemporary themes, I try to bring a sense of calm into modern homes.
Customization & Connections
I love it when clients come to me with a vision. Perhaps you have a photo from a travel memory you want preserved in resin, or a specific quote you want handwritten on an antique-style scroll. Since I work from my home studio, I can pay close attention to the details of your request. If you have an idea, feel free to reach out and let's make something personal together. ✨
