Join us for a few hours of painting in the park. No prior experience is needed, just bring yourself and a willingness to get a little messy.

A happy group photo from our "Strokes and Stories" session in the park. Everyone proudly holding up their finished pieces is the best part of my day.

Our art meetups are all about community and shared learning. Here, the group is gathered on picnic blankets, completely absorbed in their creative process under the shade of the trees.

In this session, we explored the beautiful and intricate art of Dot Mandala. It's always a joy to meet new artists, reconnect with old students, and share our creative journeys together.

This session was dedicated to learning Warli painting on canvas. I love guiding these workshops and seeing how each person brings their unique style to a traditional art form.

A collage capturing the atmosphere of our Warli painting workshop. These outdoor sessions are a perfect blend of a relaxed picnic and a focused art class.

Art is a fantastic icebreaker. These images show participants deeply engaged in their work, learning from each other and enjoying the creative energy of the group.

About Local Art Meetups: Strokes & Stories

Unlike a rigid art class, these meetups are open-air picnics where we focus more on connection and expression than technical perfection. Whether you are holding a brush for the first time or sketching for years, the goal is to relax, chat, and learn simple techniques like Warli or Dot Mandala in a pressure-free environment.

What to expect at a meetup

We keep groups small and casual. We usually gather on picnic mats under the shade of trees, with art supplies provided for everyone. This is not a formal masterclass. It is a creative break from the city noise. We spend a few hours exploring a specific technique, but the conversation and the community are just as important as the art.

Why do this

It is an icebreaker. You meet new people, you switch off from screens, and you take home a physical piece of art you made yourself. The outdoors, the greenery, and the shared snacks create an atmosphere where it is easy to let your guard down.

The process

I walk you through the steps, be it intricate Mandalas or traditional folk art, but I encourage you to make it your own. If your line wobbles or your colors mix, that is the best part. I have hosted these sessions in various city parks, and the energy is always different.

Practical details

Wear comfortable clothes that you do not mind getting paint on. Check the current schedule for upcoming dates and locations. If you are planning a private gathering or a team event, we can set up a session specifically for your group to ensure you have that creative outlet you are looking for.

I traded my dentist coat for a paintbrush because I believe art is healing, not just performance. I host these picnics to share that feeling with you—no pressure, just community, sunshine, and a bit of color on our fingers.
