Postnatal Yoga for Real Life
You do not need a quiet studio or a sleeping baby to start healing. My practice is designed for the reality of motherhood, where your mat is right next to the playmat.
I often get asked, "How can I possibly find time for yoga with a baby?" Here’s your answer. This is a gentle 10-minute flow you can do with your little one right beside you. It’s not about a perfect, uninterrupted hour. It’s about finding small moments to energize and reset, like this simple downward dog or seated forward fold to release tension in your back and hamstrings.
This is me, in my home, finding a moment for a yoga pose with my two babies, Bhadra and my sweet dog. This post was a reflection on the term "full-time mom" because I believe all moms are full-time moms. It’s a reminder that our practice doesn't have to be in a studio to be meaningful.
This is a real, unedited morning in our house. My husband and I are trying to get our practice in while our daughter Bhadra crawls around us. It’s not always peaceful, but it’s our reality, and it shows that you can find ways to move your body even in the beautiful chaos of family life.
About Yoga for Real Life: My Journey as a Mom
Many moms hesitate to start because they think they need an hour of uninterrupted silence. In my sessions, we embrace the pauses. Whether you need to stop to feed, settle a fussy baby, or just catch your breath on the floor, you never fall behind. Every live class is recorded, so if your day takes an unexpected turn, you can catch up on your own schedule.
Beyond Bouncing Back
I built this program because I remember feeling lost after having my own baby. This is not about fitting into old clothes or rushing to get back to a pre-baby body. It is about deep, sustainable recovery.
Why This Approach Works
- Targeted Healing: We move beyond generic exercises. My curriculum includes specific protocols for Diastasis Recti (abdominal separation) and pelvic floor rehabilitation.
- Safe Progression: Whether you had a vaginal birth or a C-section, we respect your body's timeline. We start slow, using movements that help you heal rather than strain.
- Small Groups, Big Support: Classes are on Zoom, but they are interactive. I check your form in real-time, just like being in a room together.
The Reality of Parenting
My classes are baby-friendly. If your baby cries or needs nursing, that is part of the rhythm. You do not need to be a 'fit' or 'flexible' person to start. We meet you exactly where you are, using simple, manageable movements that you can actually do while juggling a newborn. You will walk away with the confidence that you are doing enough, and that your body is capable of amazing things.
