I turn your favorite couple photos into detailed, handmade graphite sketches. These are not just drawings; they are memories you can keep or gift, captured with patience and a bit of charcoal.

A completed graphite and charcoal wedding portrait on A3 paper. I worked to capture the elegance of the traditional Maharashtrian wedding attire and the happy expressions of the couple on their special day.

This is a finished A3 size graphite portrait of a smiling couple. My goal was to create a clean and classic piece that captures their personalities and can be displayed as a beautiful memory in their home.

A heartfelt graphite portrait of a mother and son, drawn on A3 size paper. These portraits are a wonderful way to celebrate family bonds and make for a very personal and lasting gift.

Here is another view of the finished mother and son graphite sketch. The A3 size allows for plenty of detail in the expressions and clothing, creating a full and realistic portrait.

The final version of a commissioned portrait for a couple, completed with graphite and charcoal. I focused on achieving a realistic likeness and capturing the quiet dignity in their expressions.

The best part of the process is seeing the final piece framed and cherished. The couple was celebrating their anniversary, and this custom portrait made for a unique and personal gift.

This short video shows the process of sketching a couple's portrait. I start with light outlines to get the placement right and then slowly build up layers of graphite to add shading and depth.

From a simple outline to a fully shaded drawing, this video shows the progression of a couple's portrait. It's a process of patience, adding details layer by layer until the sketch is complete.

Here I am working on another couple portrait. For me, drawing is a form of stress relief, and I enjoy the focus required to bring two people together on paper.

This reel shows the entire journey of a commission, from the client's original photo on my phone to the final framed graphite portrait, ready to be gifted.

About Couple & Wedding Portraits

I start every portrait by mapping out facial structures on 200-300 GSM paper to ensure 95% accuracy. From there, I spend hours building up layers of graphite and charcoal—using everything from blending stumps to makeup brushes—to bring out specific details like wedding jewelry, embroidery, and expressions that standard photos often miss. It is slow, intentional work, but seeing the final result is the best part of my day.

Whether you want a sketch of your wedding day or a simple anniversary surprise, I approach each portrait with the same focus. I do not use filters or digital software; these are 100% handmade on heavyweight acid-free paper.

The Process

You share a clear photo, and I get to work. For couple portraits, I usually recommend A3 size because the extra space allows for more detail in outfits, traditional wedding attire, and facial features. I use a mix of graphite and charcoal to create depth and contrast, finishing every piece with a professional fixative spray to keep it from smudging or yellowing over time.

What You Need To Know

  • Timeline: Because I balance this with my day job, I need about 5-7 days for A4 sketches and 10-14 days for larger, more detailed A3 wedding pieces.
  • Photos: The better the photo, the better the sketch. If you have a clear, high-resolution image, I can capture those fine details that make the portrait feel like you.
  • Framing: For the A3 works, I offer a minimal black frame option, which makes the piece ready to hang or gift the moment it arrives.
  • Shipping: I pack everything in secure PVC tubes or bubble-wrapped boxes to ensure they reach you anywhere in India without a scratch.

If you have a special moment you want to freeze in graphite, send me a message and let's talk about it.

I am just a guy with a corporate job who finds peace in drawing. When I am not at my desk, you will find me at my drawing board turning photos of couples and families into graphite memories. It is my way of relaxing, and I love helping others keep their special moments alive on paper.
