Custom Family & Baby Portrait Sketches
I turn your favorite family photos into realistic graphite and charcoal drawings, perfect for keepsakes or gifts.
Here is a finished portrait of two babies, shown with the simple black frame I offer as an option. The A3 size drawing is done on 250 GSM paper, ensuring it is durable and ready to be displayed.
A time-lapse of a father and baby portrait coming to life. I used Artline pencils and blending stumps to create smooth shading and capture the joyful interaction between them.
This video shows the creation of a unique selfie portrait of a father and his baby. I carefully recreated the scene from their photo, including the phone, to capture a modern and personal family moment.
Watch as I use a makeup brush to gently blend the graphite on this baby portrait. This technique helps me create soft, smooth skin tones and capture the child's happy, smiling expression.
This is a work in progress of a baby portrait. I use a grid system and a mechanical pencil to ensure the proportions are accurate before I begin the detailed shading work on the face and hair.
This video shows the step by step process of creating a family portrait. I work on one person at a time, building up the details from a light sketch to a fully rendered drawing, ensuring each family member's likeness is captured.
About Family & Baby Portraits
I start every family sketch by mapping out the facial structure using a precise grid method to ensure the likeness is spot on. This foundation helps me get the proportions right before I begin the detailed shading work with graphite and charcoal.
Whether it is a lively family photo or a close-up of your baby, I approach each piece with the same attention to detail. I use heavy-weight, acid-free paper, specifically 250 to 300 GSM, so your portrait stays durable and resists yellowing over time. For family and group sketches, I typically use A3 size paper to ensure enough room to capture the finer details like facial features, expressions, and clothing textures. After finishing the drawing, I apply a fixative spray to prevent smudging. I pack every order carefully in a PVC tube to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition, no matter where you are in India. If you have a specific photo in mind, just send it over and we can discuss the best size and format for it.
