I use heavy-body acrylics to turn your favorite photos into colorful, long-lasting art that brings a different energy to your space.

This video shows my process for creating a portrait with acrylics. I build up colors in layers, starting with the skin tones and then moving to the clothes and background to create a vibrant and lively painting.

About Vibrant Acrylic Paintings

Unlike my graphite sketches, these acrylic pieces are built in layers to give them depth and a vibrant finish. Because I use heavy-body paints on 400 GSM paper, I need to let the paint dry thoroughly between layers to get the colors just right, which is why these take a bit longer to complete than my standard pencil drawings.

This is a detailed acrylic portrait titled 'Man In A Turban'. It took around 80 hours to complete on cold-pressed Brustro watercolour paper, focusing on the skin texture and the fabric folds of the turban.8
Titled 'Innocence', this is a 12"x16" commissioned acrylic painting on canvas. I used a grid system to ensure proportions were perfect and focused on the soft features and bright eyes to capture the child's gentle nature.
This 12"x16" commission was painted with acrylics on a stretched canvas. The goal was to create a hyper-realistic portrait that felt authentic, paying close attention to the deep wrinkles and expressive features.
