Our centers are designed to be sanctuaries of peace, where the presence of the masters is felt through our carefully maintained altars. Step into a space dedicated to stillness, devotion, and the quiet joy of inner connection.

Our altar, illuminated by soft lights for an evening meditation. The portraits of the masters create a powerful focal point, helping to elevate the consciousness of all who gather here.

A slow pan of our altar, adorned with fairy lights and a statue of Mahavatar Babaji. This sacred space is the heart of our center, radiating peace and the blessings of the masters.

A personal home altar set up to honor Swami Kriyananda. This shows how the practice of devotion extends into our daily lives, creating a sacred space wherever we are.

A devotee sits in quiet meditation before the altar. This simple act of being in the presence of the masters, in a space dedicated to Spirit, can bring deep peace and inspiration.

About Our Sacred Spaces & Altars

When you visit our altar in Halasuru, you are not just looking at a display; you are stepping into a consecrated space that helps quiet the mind. We change the fresh flowers daily and maintain the silence rigorously, so that whether you have ten minutes or an hour, your nervous system can immediately begin to decompress from the bustle of city life.

Why We Create Sacred Altars

In the teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda, the altar is more than a decoration; it is a focal point for the consciousness. By gathering images of the masters and offering flowers, we create a physical boundary between the chaotic energy of the outside world and the stillness of our inner life.

The Altar as a Practice Tool

Many of our visitors ask how they can replicate this at home. You do not need an elaborate setup to begin. A simple photo of a master who inspires you, a candle, and a clean, quiet corner is enough. The key is consistency. When you sit before your altar every day, you are essentially training your mind to switch into a state of devotion and relaxation the moment you take your seat. It becomes an anchor.

Visiting Our Bangalore Center

Our center in Halasuru is open to all seekers. Whether you are a long-time Kriyaban looking to deepen your practice or someone simply looking for a quiet, holy place to breathe, you are welcome.

  • Atmosphere: We keep the center simple, minimalist, and clean to ensure there is as little distraction as possible.
  • Etiquette: We request visitors to maintain silence within the meditation hall to respect those who are deepening their sadhana (practice).
  • Guidance: If you are new to the path, feel free to sit and observe or ask one of our volunteers about our upcoming introductory meditation courses.

We encourage you to come and sit with us, not because we have something special to sell, but because the collective vibration of a group meditating together is a powerful, palpable thing that can help you find your own center.
