About Vibrant Color Portraits
Unlike digital prints, these portraits are built layer by layer using professional-grade wax-based pencils like Prismacolor and Polychromos. A single piece can take over 50 hours of work, as I focus on blending skin tones and fabric textures to make the drawing feel 3D. When you order, you aren't just getting a drawing; you're getting a handmade memory that I have poured my energy into, signed and ready for your wall.
Bringing Colors to Life
My process starts long before the pencil touches the paper. Whether it is a family portrait, a couple’s sketch for an anniversary, or a solo picture, I treat every commission as a story. I begin by analyzing your reference photo, looking for the light, the mood, and the smallest details in the eyes or clothing.
Why Color Pencils?
While black and white sketches have their own charm, color pencils allow me to play with depth. I use professional-grade materials—Brustro, Prismacolor, and Polychromos—on 200gsm heavyweight paper. This ensures the colors stay vibrant and don’t fade. I apply a UV-resistant spray coat on every piece to protect it from dust and time.
The Process
- Share your photo: A high-resolution image works best for capturing details.
- The Sketching phase: I share updates at key milestones to make sure we are on the right track.
- Review: I send a high-res photo for your approval before I lock in the details with the fixative.
- Framing & Shipping: If you choose the framed option, I use synthetic wood with acrylic front panels (which are safer and more durable than glass), so it arrives ready to hang.
Everything is securely packed in sandwich-style packaging with corner guards to prevent any bending. Being based in Bokaro, I have shipped these portraits everywhere from small towns to cities abroad, ensuring every package carries the same care and effort.
