Realistic Individual Pencil Portraits
I turn your favorite photos into realistic pencil sketches, capturing more than just a face. Whether it is for a gift or to capture a mood, let's put it on paper.
My tribute to the legend, MS Dhoni. I wanted to capture his iconic, calm smile. This is for all the Mahi fans out there.
A look at the Mahi sketch in progress. It takes a lot of patience to get the likeness just right, but for Captain Cool, it's worth the mehnat.
This video focuses on the small details, like the pattern on the saree and the texture of the bangles. These are the elements that make a portrait unique.
Every sketch carries a piece of the artist’s soul. This portrait of Ayesha Khan was about capturing a quiet, thoughtful expression.
Teri ankhon ka jadoo. Another sketch of Ayesha Khan, this time focusing on her expressive eyes and the intricate details of her jhumkas.
Sometimes even I’m surprised by the finished piece. This was a paid commission where the challenge was to render the delicate mehndi design on her hands with just a pencil.
This was an urgent project completed in just 24 hours. It shows my ability to work on a deadline without compromising on the details, like the traditional nose ring and jewelry.
A commissioned sketch of a client. I focused on capturing his relaxed smile and the 'Maa' tattoo on his arm, an important personal detail.
A portrait of Shraddha Kapoor. The end result of a sketch is always beautiful, even if the beginning looks messy. It's a process of trusting the mehnat.
The Shraddha Kapoor sketch halfway through. This shows the contrast between the rendered hair and the blank paper, a reminder that every part of the drawing is built from nothing.
About Individual Portraits: Capturing Your Vibe
I use the grid method with professional Staedtler and Faber-Castell pencils on 180 GSM cartridge paper to ensure your portrait actually looks like you. I keep you in the loop with work-in-progress updates, so you see the layers of graphite and charcoal build up before I seal the final piece with a protective fixative spray.
Why a Hand-Drawn Portrait?
In a world of filters and digital edits, a handmade sketch is different. It is about the patience, the strokes, and the time spent on every detail—from the texture of hair to the sparkle in the eyes. I treat every commission, whether it is for a birthday, anniversary, or just a 'sorry' gift, with the same focus I put into my celebrity studies.
The Process
I work primarily with graphite and charcoal on A4 or A3 sheets. The process starts with a grid to get your proportions perfect. I then move to the shading, focusing on contrast and depth to make the image pop. Since I use acid-free, heavy-weight paper, your sketch won't yellow over time, and the fixative spray ensures it won't smudge in the frame.
What I Need from You
To get the best result, send me a clear, high-resolution photo. If you have a specific vibe in mind—maybe a soft smile or a candid look—let me know. I do not do free samples, but I do promise that the final 'wow' moment when you hold the sketch in your hands is worth it. Whether it is a solo portrait or a request for something urgent, I try my best to deliver quality that you can cherish.
