Vibrant Colour Pencil Portraits from Your Photos
Bring your memories to life with detailed, hyper-realistic colour pencil sketches. Every piece is hand-drawn to capture the warmth and real emotions of your special moments.
A beautiful wedding portrait for a couple from Gujarat. I used a 72-shade set of Brustro colour pencils to capture the vibrant red of the lehenga and the intricate details of their attire.
This custom colour pencil sketch of a father and son was a heartfelt commission from Andhra Pradesh. I merged two photos to create this single portrait showing their bond.
A sweet family portrait for a client in Prayagraj. I used colour pencils to bring out the soft pink tones of their outfits and the warmth of their family moment.
A hyper-realistic colour pencil sketch of a mother and son for a client in Rajasthan. This A3 piece took about 24 hours, focusing on the fabric patterns and expressions.
For this creative piece, I added a person into an existing photo to create a new memory. This colour pencil sketch on A3 Brustro paper was a special request from Uttar Pradesh.
A very cute commission of a baby boy in a bright red suit. I used colour pencils on A4 paper to capture his adorable expression and colourful outfit.
This A2 size colour pencil sketch of a world champion holding the Indian flag was a project that filled me with pride. It took nearly 50 hours to complete, focusing on the vibrant colours and the gold medal.
About this collection
When you order a colour portrait, I don't just use standard pencils. I layer 72-shade oil-based pigments to get those skin tones and fabric textures right. For a piece like a wedding portrait, that means spending 20 to 50 hours on a single A3 or A2 sheet to ensure it looks like a real memory, not just a drawing.
My Process: Building Layers
Colour pencil art isn't just about drawing; it's about layering. I use heavy 200-250 GSM Brustro or fine art paper to handle multiple layers of pigment. Whether it's the intricate gold jewellery of a bride or the specific fabric pattern of a shirt, I build these up slowly to hide the paper grain and get that smooth, realistic finish. I always provide a digital preview before I start the final sketch so we are on the same page.
Why Choose Colour?
While classic graphite has its own mood, colour portraits are perfect for occasions that demand vibrancy. I recommend this style for:
- Wedding Gifts: Capturing the reds, golds, and bright tones of bridal attire.
- Family Keepsakes: Making group portraits feel warm and alive.
- Special Milestones: Highlighting specific clothing or themes that hold meaning for you.
Durability and Care
Each sketch receives a protective fixative spray as soon as it is finished to prevent smudging and fading. I pack every piece in butter paper and a hard, moisture-resistant PVC tube to make sure it travels safely from my studio to your home anywhere in India. If you have any questions about how to frame or preserve the work, just ask. I want your portrait to stay as bright as the day I drew it.
