Modern Apartment Transformations
Revamping urban apartments into functional, contemporary homes through intelligent space planning and the use of raw, tactile materials.

About Modern Apartment Transformations
For this 2500 sq.ft. apartment, we replaced solid internal walls with fluted glass partitions and used raw brick accent walls to create distinct zones without blocking natural light. This design choice connects the living and dining areas while maintaining a sense of openness, a technique we use to maximize the perceived volume of urban residences.
Our Approach to Apartment Renovation
Every apartment renovation starts with a deep dive into the floor plan to identify structural opportunities. In projects like Apartment 704, our priority was to shed the compartmentalized layout that typically restricts light. We introduced transparent elements such as fluted glass to allow visual connection between the dining area and the corridor, ensuring that light flows into the heart of the home.
Materiality and Texture
We favor a material palette that feels grounded. For modern apartments in Delhi NCR, we often combine:
- Raw Elements: Exposed brick and rough stone cladding add a tactile, lived-in character that contrasts with modern, sleek surfaces.
- Modern Finishes: PU-coated cabinetry, Italian marble, and metallic accents bring a level of refinement, creating a balanced aesthetic.
- Custom Joinery: Every piece of furniture, from the dining sets to the modular kitchen cabinets, is fabricated to fit the specific proportions of the room, ensuring zero wasted space.
The Design Process
Our process is transparent and highly structured. It begins with site analysis and conceptual sketches, moving through 2D layouts and 3D visualizations to ensure every detail is accounted for before work starts on-site. We manage the entire transition, whether it involves demolishing internal walls to create open layouts or installing MEP drawings to upgrade the infrastructure of older apartments. Our goal is to craft a space that remains both aesthetically compelling and deeply practical for daily use.
