We’re a community dedicated to bringing unknown karigars into the spotlight. From traditional handloom to soulful art, explore the stories behind the hands that create true beauty.

Welcome to our community. This is what it looks like when hundreds of artisans, volunteers, and lovers of handmade come together to celebrate creativity at our Festival of Handmade in South Bengaluru.

Our mission started with a simple question: why should the creator remain an "unknown karigar"? We are here to challenge the idea of "yeh mera karigar hai" (this is my artisan) and put the makers and their stories first.

Meet the hands behind the handmade. At our festivals, you connect directly with creators from all over India, hearing their stories and learning about their craft, from Warangal dhurries to Assamese silks.

This is the magic we create together. When artisans connect with the right audience, their hard work sells out. This is a real message from a happy food creator at one of our events.

We believe everyone is a creator. Our 'Made It Myself' campaign celebrates the art you make for personal joy, like this stunning piece of wearable enamel art from our community.

We are Mala and Sonia, the founders of A Hundred Hands. What started in our garden has grown into a movement, and it's a joy to host this incredible community of creators and supporters.

Every thread tells a story. We celebrate the incredible skill of India's weavers and the timeless beauty of handloom, a cornerstone of our nation's craft heritage.

Our community runs on passion. We are always looking for volunteers to help with everything from photography to event management. This is how you can be a part of the movement.

About Featured

At our events, you are buying directly from the maker, not a reseller. Our 'No-Reseller' seal is backed by a rigorous selection process, including video verification of their craft. This ensures that every rupee you spend goes straight to the karigar, keeping their traditional skills and livelihood alive.

Bringing Artisans to the Front

We started A Hundred Hands in our garden with a simple belief: makers deserve the spotlight. For too long, the industry has relied on the 'yeh mera karigar hai' mindset—a possessive, behind-the-scenes culture that keeps talented creators hidden. We work differently. Whether you are browsing our curated markets in Bengaluru or joining us for a festival, you are meeting the real faces behind the product.

Why 'Haath ka Kaam' Matters

We believe that working with your hands—what we call 'haath ka kaam'—is a powerful form of therapy. In a world of mass production, taking the time to learn pottery, embroidery, or mandala art is a way to slow down and reconnect. Our workshops are designed to be therapeutic, offering a break from screens and a chance to find calm in the act of creation.

Our Community Ecosystem

  • For Creators: If you make your own products, our membership program gives you access to marquee events like The Monsoon Collective and Festival of Handmade. We verify your process so buyers know they are getting the real deal.
  • For Visitors: Come to our events to meet master weavers from Warangal, silver filigree artists, or painters. You aren't just shopping; you are preserving India's cultural legacy.
  • For Volunteers: We run on community energy. From photography to event management, there are always ways to pitch in and learn what it takes to run a movement.

Our doors are open to anyone who believes that true luxury is handmade, and that every thread tells a story worth knowing.
