About Additional Work
We don't just host events; we occupy public spaces to build community. Our partnership with Bangalore Hubba for the 'Craft in the Park' program brings hands-on workshops directly to city green spaces every Sunday, allowing you to experience the therapeutic process of making alongside our master artisans in an informal, open setting.
Our Story Beyond the Stalls
While our signature festivals get the most attention, the heart of A Hundred Hands beats in the smaller, everyday moments. We are a small, slightly nerdy team in Bangalore—Sonia and Mala, our founders, along with Cynthia, Thyagraj, and Haider—constantly working to bridge the gap between urban enthusiasts and traditional makers.
Why We Operate Differently
Our philosophy rejects the standard retail model. You won't find us hiding our artisans behind a brand label. We believe in transparency and direct connection. When you see our team at an event, you are seeing people who vet every participant to ensure a 'no-reseller' guarantee. This rigor is why our community trusts us for authentic handmade goods, from 100% cotton rakhis to natural fragrance gifts.
Join the Movement
Our projects are open-ended by design. Whether it is our 'Made It Myself' campaign or our open mic sessions, we aim to provide a platform rather than a product. We encourage you to:
- Visit our Ashok Nagar center: Come for a workshop and see where the planning happens.
- Join a Sunday session: Look out for our 'Craft in the Park' updates to try your hand at new skills in a relaxed environment.
- Get Verified: If you are a maker yourself, connect with us to get your work certified and join our network of karigars.
We invite you to stop browsing and start participating. This is a community built on shared effort, not just commerce.
A Hundred Hands
We are Mala and Sonia, the team behind A Hundred Hands. We aren't a corporate agency; we are just a small, passionate group in Bangalore dedicated to giving real karigars the spotlight they deserve, one event at a time.
