About Community Participation Platform
Why We Exist
I believe handmade isn’t just about objects, it’s about people. With A Hundred Hands, I’m working to build a real artisan support network that puts karigars (artisans) right at the center. No one hides behind brands here - every creator’s story matters.
What We Stand For
- We don't like the attitude of "yeh mera karigar hai" (this is my artisan). Makers should get credit, not be hidden.
- Handmade work, or haath ka kaam, is its own kind of therapy. It slows you down, helps you reconnect.
How You Join In
- Creators & Karigars: This is for you if you actually make your own stuff. No resellers, just real handmade art community vibes. Our membership gets you into events, connects you with buyers, and gives you a badge that says your work is the real deal.
- Volunteers: We run on volunteer energy. If you can help with photos, managing events, or just want to pitch in, you’re welcome.
- Performers: Dancers, musicians, poets, comedians - we host open calls at our festivals. Bring your art to our stage.
- Handmade Fans: Share your own "Made It Myself" creations or just show up at our events in Bangalore to meet makers and join a creative collaboration platform.
What You Get
- Support from a community that cares
- Real opportunities at maker-led festivals like the Festival of Handmade
- A place to grow, not just sell
If you want to be part of something that's about more than just buying and selling, you’ll probably feel at home here.

My Story
We’re Mala and Sonia—yep, those grey-haired folks you spot in the pics. Years back, we saw rural artisans with mad skills but no buyers. So we just said, 'come use our garden!' Posters, word of mouth, boom—sold out in a day. Cynthia (blue hair), Thyagraj, and Haider joined in, each with their quirks. We’re tiny, picky, and a bit nerdy. For us, it’s about giving soul and story, not just selling stuff.
My Work
Our Collectives & Workshops - We run big events with hands-on sessions like pottery workshop Bangalore, open mics, and lots of community vibes.
Championing Unknown Artisans - We dig deep to find and celebrate genuine karigars—no owning, just spotlighting their craft.
Handmade Treasures - Find everything handmade: sarees, handlooms, jewellery, natural fragrance gifts, quirky decor, and more.
Made It Myself Movement - Share what you make—paint, stitch, sculpt. We love creations powered by your hands and heart.
Keep Calm with Haath ka Kaam - Try our Dot Mandala DIY kit or other hands-on stuff—making things is good for your head, promise.
