Authentic Homemade Sweets in Bangalore
I prepare traditional Brahmin-style sweets fresh to order, using pure ghee and old-school recipes. Get that genuine taste of home without the effort.
Bele Holige, or Obbattu, is a festive delicacy that everyone loves. This soft, sweet flatbread is filled with a delicious mixture of cooked lentils and jaggery, and cooked with ghee until golden.
Our Rava Laadu is a classic sweet made from roasted semolina (sooji), pure ghee, sugar, and cashews. These soft, melt-in-your-mouth laadus are a perfect treat for any occasion.
These are our Motichur Laddus, made from tiny droplets of gram flour batter fried in ghee and then soaked in sugar syrup. Each laddu is soft, juicy, and garnished with a piece of nut.
Our Dry Fruits Laadu, also known as Antina Unde, is packed with nuts, dates, and edible gum. It's a healthy and nutritious sweet we often prepare for special family functions like baby naming ceremonies.
This is Pineapple Sajjige, a delightful variation of the classic Kesari Bath. It's a sweet semolina pudding cooked with ghee and sugar, enriched with chunks of fresh pineapple and crunchy cashews.
About Homemade Sweets (Mane Mādida Sihi)
You won't find any stock sitting on a shelf here. Every batch of Holige, Laddu, or Sajjige is prepared fresh from scratch only after you place your order. Because I rely on pure ghee and traditional recipes without any preservatives, the sweets I send to your home carry that exact, distinct aroma and taste you remember from family festivals.
When you choose Agraane Kitchen for your sweets, you are stepping away from mass-produced confectionery and returning to a kitchen that prioritizes quality over speed.
Why my sweets taste different
- Pure Ghee Only: I use 100% pure ghee as the primary fat for everything, from the golden crust of the Bele Holige to the crumbly texture of my Besan Laddus. It adds that rich, traditional depth you cannot replicate with oils or hydrogenated fats.
- No Preservatives: Since everything is made fresh, I do not need to use stabilizers or long-term preservatives. Your sweets are crafted in my kitchen in Giri Nagar and sent directly to you, ensuring the highest level of hygiene and freshness.
- Traditional Techniques: Whether it is rolling out thin, soft Holige or carefully hand-rolling Antina Unde (Dry Fruit Laddus) for a naming ceremony, I follow the old-school methods I learned from my elders.
The menu
My core sweets list includes:
- Holige/Obbattu: Available with Bele (lentil) or Shenga (peanut) filling, served with homemade ghee.
- Laadu Variety: From the classic Rava Laadu to the rich, nutritious Dry Fruit Antina Unde and traditional Motichur.
- Sajjige: Including signature variations like Pineapple Sajjige, perfect for a cozy afternoon treat.
Everything is prepared in a Satvik Brahmin-style kitchen, which means no onion or garlic is ever used in my prep areas. If you are planning a function or simply want to treat your family to authentic Karnataka sweets, just let me know your requirements a day or two in advance.
