Moving is an inevitable part of expat life, but leaving a place that became home is never easy. At AES, we ensure your family’s transition out of Delhi is as supported and thoughtful as your arrival.

Saying goodbye is never easy, but we do it with support and care. Our Farewell Gathering brings the community together to share stories and explore the RAFT model (Reconciliation, Affirmation, Farewell, Think Destination) to help families navigate their transitions.

About Farewell & Transitions

We do not just say goodbye, we use the RAFT framework (Reconciliation, Affirmation, Farewell, and Think Destination) to help you and your children process the change. It provides your family the space to find closure and look ahead, turning a potentially difficult move into a meaningful next chapter.

Leaving a place that has been your home is a major life shift, especially for children growing up in international environments. Our focus on 'Third Culture Kid' development means we understand that your child's emotional well-being is as important as their academic transition.

Supporting Your Move

  • Structured Farewell Gatherings: We provide a space for students and parents to share stories and say their goodbyes in a supportive environment. It is about celebrating the bonds formed during your time in Delhi.
  • The RAFT Model: We apply this specific framework to ensure no one leaves feeling like they have loose ends. It helps families acknowledge their time here (Reconciliation), appreciate their connections (Affirmation), participate in meaningful goodbyes (Farewell), and prepare for the next step (Think Destination).
  • Alumni Network: Once you leave, the AES connection continues. Our global alumni network keeps you in the loop, providing a bridge between your time here and wherever you go next.

Moving is often chaotic, but it does not have to be lonely. We provide the practical and emotional infrastructure to ensure your transition out of our Chanakyapuri campus is handled with the same care as the day you first walked through our gates.
