Moving to a new city is a major leap. At AES, we ensure your family feels right at home, not just enrolled, from day one.

The first day of school is full of excitement. Our director and the tiger mascot are always there to greet families, setting a positive and energetic tone for a year of growth, discovery, and connection.

Nothing beats a tiger hug to start the school year. We make the first day for our elementary school students extra special with a warm welcome from our mascot and community, ensuring they start their journey with smiles and confidence.

Our principals from Elementary, Middle, and High School share their excitement for the new school year. We are thrilled to welcome hundreds of new students and see our hallways buzzing with the energy of new friendships and learning.

Welcome to our 73rd year. Our director, Dr. Rand Harrington, shares a message about our commitment to our strategic pillars, including well-being and belonging, as we welcome new and returning families to campus.

A warm, Indian-style welcome is a cherished tradition at AES. We greet our new faculty and kick off the school year with vibrant dance and music, celebrating the new energy and expertise they bring to our community.

The welcome starts right at the gate. Our newest teachers are greeted with the exciting sounds of a dhol and a joyful bhangra dance, immediately immersing them in the vibrant culture of India and our school.

Meet the new faces joining our AES family. We are excited to introduce our new faculty members from around the world, who share their passion for teaching and their excitement about exploring Indian culture.

About A Warm Welcome for New Families

Our onboarding goes beyond paperwork and schedules. When you join, we pair you with an ambassador family to help you navigate life in India—everything from finding the right services to understanding school culture. Our Parent School Association (PSA) also hosts 'New to Delhi' sessions, giving you the honest, practical lowdown on local logistics before your child even steps into a classroom.

We understand that an international move brings unique challenges. That is why our transition support focuses on the human side of relocation, recognizing the specific needs of Third Culture Kids and the families who support them.

Life at AES

Our community is the heartbeat of the school. You will find us active, whether that is at an activities mela or during middle school 'fort' competitions in the courtyard. The Parent School Association is central to this, organizing coffee mornings and welcome events that help you build your social network quickly.

Supporting the Journey

We provide professional counseling access for families dealing with the stress of relocation. If you are arriving from a different education system, our faculty—who often have their own relocation stories—are ready to help you adjust. We also offer comprehensive onboarding, including:

  • Digital Setup: Quick access to parent portals and campus security badges.
  • Cultural Integration: Tips for navigating Delhi, from healthcare safety to transportation.
  • Ongoing Support: Frameworks like RAFT to assist with the emotional aspects of arrival and, eventually, departure.

Whether you are joining us from across the world or just across town, you are not just a new student; you are a new member of our family. Our goal is to make sure you feel seen, valued, and settled from the very first day.
