About Community Engagement & New Family Support
Where You Belong
I won’t sugarcoat it - moving to Delhi or joining a new school can be overwhelming. At AES, we’re more than just classrooms and textbooks. We’re all about making sure you and your family actually feel like you belong here, whether you’re arriving from across the world or just across town.
The Welcome Starts Day One
Our new family orientation isn’t your run-of-the-mill info session. You’ll meet everyone from the principal to student ambassadors, plus our tiger mascot who’s always up for a high-five. The Parent School Association (PSA) Welcome Team and our faculty — who get their own special Indian-style welcome — are on hand so you never feel lost. PSA also runs “New to Delhi” sessions for honest, practical advice. It’s Delhi ki asli (Delhi’s real) lowdown, straight from fellow parents.
Parent-School Partnership in Action
The PSA isn’t just a committee - it’s the heartbeat of our school. Parent volunteers keep traditions alive, throwing Staff Appreciation Brunches and organizing sweet surprises for grads. They’re usually the first friendly faces you’ll meet, helping with everything from questions to settling in.
School Life, More Than Just Classes
We keep things lively with academic showcases, milestone ceremonies like “Grade 5 Crossing the Bridge,” and fun events like our middle school ‘fort’ competitions - Neela, Peela, Laal, Hara. There’s an Activities Mela too, so kids find their thing. Community service isn’t just lip service; our student clubs actually make a difference.
Support, Even When It’s Time to Say Goodbye
Leaving isn’t easy, but we help families with farewell gatherings and practical frameworks like RAFT, making sure your transition out is just as supported as your arrival.

My Story
Hi, we’re AES – just call us that, everyone does. Been here in Delhi for 73 years, you know? Folks from 70+ countries, all under one roof. Tim started his family here, learned Vipassana, and Karen’s back after ages – that’s our vibe, lifelong bonds. We’re not just about marks; you’ll find us grooving in Bollywood dance sessions, hanging out in student forts – Neela, Peela, Laal, Hara – or at the big activities mela (fair). Once a Tiger, always a Tiger.
My Work
Education from Pre-K to Grade 12 - We teach kids from tiny tots up to Grade 12, including the IB Diploma program.
