About this collection
Every jar you see here is packed by hand in our home kitchen, not a factory. We spend days sun-drying our ingredients and patiently waiting for the natural fermentation to build that deep, authentic flavour. When you open a jar, you are not just getting a pickle; you are getting a piece of our early days, crafted with the same care we used when we sent out our very first order.
Achari Adda started with a simple, personal craving for the 'ghar ka swad'—that real, tangy, and nostalgic taste of childhood pickles. I am Megha, and I realized that to get that specific 'maa ke haath ka jaadu,' I had to make it myself.
We operate on a simple principle: if we wouldn't serve it to our own family, we won't put it in a jar for you. This means no artificial preservatives, no fake colours, and absolutely no shortcuts. Our process is slow by design. We use traditional dadi-nani recipes that rely on natural sun-drying techniques, which require patience but deliver a flavour profile you just cannot get from mass-produced brands.
Being a small business means we learn with every batch. Whether it is sourcing the right glass jars, perfecting our sealing method to keep the pickles fresh, or meeting our customers at exhibitions, every step is a part of our growth. We love the feedback we get because it tells us we are on the right track. If you are curious about our flavours, we often prepare smaller portions so you can try them before committing to a full jar. This is our way of letting the food speak for itself.
Achari Adda
I am Megha, the person behind Achari Adda. I started this because I missed the taste of authentic, preservative-free pickles from my childhood. Now, I share that same 'gharwala swad' with you, made with pure ingredients and lots of patience.
