Ghar Ka Swad, Beyond the Pickle Jar

At Achari Adda, I try to bring that real 'gharwala swad' (taste of home) to your plate, not just through pickles but with other classic treats too. It's the stuff our grandmothers whipped up for festivals or when the weather turned, each bite full of nostalgia and health.

Sweet & Tangy Specialties

  • Homemade Indian murabba: My Aamle Ka Murabba comes two ways - the old-school, syrupy sweet kind and a jaggery version for those who want something a bit healthier. Both are loaded with nutrients because aamla (gooseberry) is just good for you.

  • Festive kanji vada: Only made for Holi, this tangy drink has soft lentil vadas chilling in fermented carrot-mustard water. It's not your everyday snack, and I only prep it on pre-order since it’s a seasonal thing. Limited stock, so Holi pe yaad rakhna! (remember it on Holi!)

  • Organic jaggery treats: You’ll find simple pure jaggery here, and also a nutty version stuffed with almonds, walnuts, raisins, and cashews. It’s warm, tasty, and actually helps you during winter.

Why My Stuff Feels Different

Everything follows grandma’s traditional recipes - no synthetic junk, no preservatives. I’m running a small, women-led kitchen, and I won’t rush things. Some specialties, like murabba, take time - up to a week to get that real, slow-cooked flavour. Sabr ka phal meetha hota hai (patience brings sweet rewards), and I think you’ll taste the difference.

My Story

Namaste, I’m Megha, the heart behind Achari Adda. For me, food is not just food - it’s pure feeling. ‘Pet bhara toh aadhi tension gayab’ (Full stomach, half the stress gone). I missed that childhood taste, the real ghar ka achaar from dadi-nani’s hands, so I started making it myself. Every jar I pack is a piece of my home, filled with love and sunshine, not chemicals. Still learning, still hustling, but every order makes my day. Yeh safar hai, with maa ke haath ka jaadu (This is a journey, with mom’s magic touch).

My Work

Pickles & Festive Specials - We make oil-free mango pickle, sun-dried lemon pickle, stuffed green chilli pickle, organic jaggery, and Kanji Vada.

Traditional Taste, No Shortcuts - All recipes come straight from dadi-nani’s kitchen. No preservatives, no fake colors, just pure, homemade flavour.
