About Corporate & Commercial Architecture
On the Jindal Stainless Steel project, we moved beyond the client's initial brief of standard interior design to address the building's exterior. By cladding the entrance columns in faceted stainless steel, we transformed a conventional glass structure into a sculptural landmark. This intervention illustrates our approach to integrating structural engineering with aesthetic intent, ensuring the architecture effectively communicates the client's core expertise rather than serving as mere shell design.
Our work in corporate and commercial architecture centers on the principle that a building must be as functional as it is visually coherent.
Architectural Interventions
When we engage with commercial properties, we examine the bones of the structure first. In projects like the Jindal Stainless Steel office, this involved significant fabrication. We replaced passive exterior elements with active, kinetic features like the 'shimmer screen' on the fire staircase. This screen uses steel panels that react to wind, turning a utilitarian escape route into a dynamic facade element that filters light and reduces solar gain.
Systems and Infrastructure
Commercial design requires technical precision that residential projects do not. Our execution includes:
- Climate Control: Full integration of VRV and central air conditioning systems with exposed industrial ducting or acoustic modular ceilings.
- Connectivity & Safety: Comprehensive implementation of CAT6 networking, server room infrastructure, and fire safety compliance, including sprinkler loops and emergency signage.
- Acoustics: Installation of double-glazed systems and acoustic wall paneling in conference zones to ensure executive privacy and manage noise levels in open-plan areas.
Structural Restoration
For aging commercial assets, we provide a full restoration service. This includes removing dead plaster, treating corroded steel bars with anti-rust polymers, and structural grouting to restore building integrity. We then finish these exteriors with modern cladding, such as Dholpur stone or Aluminum Composite Panels (ACP), to align the building with contemporary standards.
