For every commission, I prioritize a rigorous process that begins with deep observation and a digital consultation. My artistic practice is rooted in the academic rigour I developed at the Sir J.J. School of Art. This gallery documents the evolution of my work, from the initial sketches that serve as my foundation to the layered application of paint that defines my style.
The Technical Process
My approach blends impressionist vibes with the discipline of realism. When working on a commissioned oil portrait, I apply an impasto knife technique to create a surface with depth and texture. This allows me to move beyond a simple likeness, capturing the essence of the subject. For charcoal and graphite studies, I focus on the intricacies of anatomy and light, ensuring the academic standards of my early training remain present in every stroke.
