Behind the Scenes of My Artistic Journey
Art for me is more than just pencil and paper. It is a way of holding onto memories. This is where I share the moments behind the portraits, the stories from my exhibitions, and the love that goes into every piece before it reaches you.
The pure joy on my Bua's face when she finally saw her portrait in person. Sometimes a photograph doesn't do the sketch justice until you see it for real.

About The Artist's Journey
When I finish a portrait, the final step is just as important as the drawing itself. I do not just put it in an envelope. I protect every piece with a butter paper shield and base support, often adding a handwritten note of gratitude before it leaves my studio. It is my way of sending a jaadu ki jhappi (magical hug) to your doorstep, ensuring your cherished memory arrives safely and in perfect condition.
My art is a journey of persistence, observation, and sometimes, letting go. Whether I am working on a commission or a personal study, I rely on professional-grade materials like Fabriano paper and Staedtler graphite to ensure the work stands the test of time.
I believe art is best shared, which is why exhibitions are so important to me. From displaying my still life works at the Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath in Bangalore to being selected as a featured artist for the Mazda Art Calendar, these milestones are not just about the awards. They are about the community of people I meet and the stories we exchange.
I often hear from people who feel they cannot draw, which is why I also host workshops for aspiring artists. It is rewarding to guide someone from a blank page to their first successful portrait. My process involves layering and blending without shortcuts, because I believe some bonds deserve that time.
Whether you are looking for a memorial piece that captures the essence of a loved one or a fun, collaborative 50-50 sketch, I pour the same level of attention into every project. Everything I do comes from a place of love, faith, and the desire to create something real. ।। श्री कृष्ण सदा सहायते ।।
