Why I Love What I Do
I’m Aarti, and Tickles&Tales is my happy space for over 13 years. Nothing beats the feeling of seeing little ones laugh and get completely wrapped up in a story. I get to mix my love for puppetry and storytelling with loads of silliness, and honestly, it just makes my day every time.
What Happens at My Shows
- I set up my own portable puppet stage, so any space becomes a mini theatre.
- My shows are very hands-on. Kids join in with songs, animal sounds, and rhymes.
- Perfect for kids aged 2 to 8.
- Expect a mix of hand puppets, finger puppets, and sometimes marionettes for extra drama.
- I travel anywhere in Bangalore - small playdates, big birthday parties, schools, even corporate family days.
Loads of Themes and Options
- I can do animal adventures, Peppa Pig stories, Kung Fu Panda with a dose of self-belief, or festival specials like a Ramayan shadow puppet show.
- If your kid has a favourite story or cartoon, I try my best to bring it to life. Themed puppet shows for kids are my jam.
More Than Just a Puppet Show
- After the story, we jump into a puppet-making workshop for children. The kids get super excited making their own dragons or butterflies.
- If there’s room, I add games like parachute play, treasure hunts, or just chasing bubbles everywhere.
A Little Extra
- My shadow puppet storytelling for festivals (especially Dussehra and Diwali) is something a bit different. Kids really love the magic of it.
I keep things simple, lively, and very kid-focused. Not every space is perfect for a big set-up, but I always find a way to make it fun.
