Bharatanatyam Classes and Dance Community in Bengaluru
At Brundavan, we are more than a dance school. Whether you are taking your first steps in Bharatanatyam or preparing for a stage performance, you will find a supportive family here to learn, grow, and express yourself.
A snippet of the Thillana I choreographed for the Adhitthana team of RVCE. I provide specialized choreography services for college teams and students preparing for competitions.
Our humble offering to celebrate the inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. We often create concept videos like this to connect our art form to important cultural moments.
Gearing up for Navaratri in the studio. Rehearsals are where we build our stamina, perfect our movements, and bond as a team before a big performance.
A creative dance moment with my students in beautiful practice sarees. We love taking our dance outdoors to create unique and visually appealing concept videos.
A concept shoot with my students for Ival in Mabia's 'Natya' series, inspired by the song from the movie 'Kabzaa'. This was a wonderful opportunity for them to experience a professional shoot.
Another beautiful concept video we created with Ival, inspired by a classic song from 'Thiruda Thiruda'. These projects help students understand the application of dance in modern media.
About this collection
Our studio in Bengaluru is designed for comfort, featuring impact-absorbing flooring so you can practice your Adavus without worrying about joint strain. We keep batch sizes small, usually between 8 to 12 students, which allows me to personally correct your posture, refine your Mudras, and guide your expressions during every session.
Learning Bharatanatyam is a journey, and at Brundavan, we make sure that path is filled with joy rather than just pressure. My training comes from my gurus, Karnataka Kalashree Guru Smt. K. Brunda and Vidushi Smt. Ananya M, and I focus on passing that lineage on to my students.
What We Focus On
We go beyond just learning steps. For our beginners, we focus on building a strong foundation, which includes Dhyana Shloka, Asamyuta Hastas, and the basic Tattadavu series. As you advance, we shift our attention to Abhinaya. This is where the magic happens. We explore how to tell stories—whether it is the playfulness of Radha-Krishna or the cosmic energy of Shiva—through facial expressions and graceful movement.
Our Community
We are more than just a class. We treat this as a family. We organize group rehearsals, Navaratri performances, and creative video shoots. These projects, like our 'Natya' concept videos filmed in temple settings, help students apply their learning in a real-world, creative way. It is a space where dancers of all levels can bond, push each other to improve, and celebrate our shared love for Indian classical dance.

Shreya Balaji
I am Shreya, and to me, dance is a form of prayer. At Brundavan, I pass on the wisdom I received from my gurus, helping students discover their rhythm in a supportive environment. We aren't just here to learn steps; we are here to explore stories, emotions, and the joy of movement together.
