Bharatanatyam Training and Studio Practice
We bring tradition and discipline to our Mahadevapura and Kaggadasapura studios. Whether you are building a foundation in Nritta or mastering Abhinaya, our classes are designed to help you connect with your roots in a supportive, family-like environment.
Every Bharatanatyam class at our Kaggadasapura branch begins on a divine note. Our teacher, Ms. Meenakshi, leads the students in a devotional song to create a focused and spiritual atmosphere before the dance practice starts.
The Guru-Shishya relationship is the heart of classical Indian arts. Our students learn to show respect and gratitude for their teachers, a tradition we uphold through ceremonies like the "Guru Dakshina".
A look at the physical conditioning and practice that goes into Bharatanatyam. Our students develop incredible flexibility, balance, and control through dedicated practice in our well-equipped studios.
Dance connects generations. Here, our instructor Ms. Reshmakrishnan and her student Ashley perform a graceful piece together, showcasing the beautiful bond that forms through shared learning and practice.
About Inside the Studio: Our Learning Process
Every session begins with devotional music to set the mood, moving quickly into foundational Araimandi postures and rhythmic footwork. Because we limit our batches to 15 students, our instructors can provide real, hands-on corrections to your hand gestures and body alignment during every single class.
We believe the learning process is as beautiful as the final performance. Our studio environment isn't just about steps. It is about understanding the logic and history behind every movement. We follow the traditional Guru-Shishya parampara, creating a space where students feel comfortable learning at their own pace. Our curriculum is comprehensive, covering Nritta for stamina and strength building, and diving deep into Abhinaya and Hasta Mudras to help you tell stories through movement.
Our Mahadevapura and Kaggadasapura studios feature professional wooden flooring and wall-to-wall mirrors, which are essential for long-term joint health and perfecting your posture. We also integrate theory sessions and syllabus preparation for Karnataka State and Gandharva grade exams. Whether you are a parent looking to build your child's confidence or an adult returning to dance, our batches are kept small so our instructors can provide personal feedback, not just demonstrate steps. We celebrate every milestone, from your first Adavu to your first stage performance.
