About Bharatanatyam Classes
Why I Dance
For me, Bharatanatyam is more than just steps - it’s like a prayer, a way to find beauty and stories in everyday life. I always say, like that Kannada song 'Naa Naguva Modalene', there’s always a melody or a story hiding somewhere, waiting to be danced.
My Roots & What I Offer
Everything I share comes from my gurus, Karnataka Kalashree Guru Smt. K. Brunda and Vidushi Smt. Ananya M. I carry their wisdom forward, and being a graded artist with Doordarshan is a big deal for me - it keeps me grounded in tradition.
At Brundavan, we go deep into Bharatanatyam for beginners and experienced dancers alike. For kids and newbies, we start slow - basic postures, rhythms, and a peek into Indian mythology through dance. For those wanting more, I love working on advanced items like Varnams and Thillanas, and I help choreograph for competitions and stage shows.
More Than Just Technique
We put a big focus on abhinaya classes - learning how to show feelings and stories through expression. Think Radha-Krishna’s playful fights, Shiva’s cosmic dance, or Devi’s calm - we bring all that to life.
Performance & Community
You’ll get chances to perform, from Navaratri festivals to Mysore Dasara, and even quirky concept videos. Mostly, we’re like a little dance family - we push each other, grow together, and have a lot of fun along the way.

My Story
Hey, I’m Shreya, dancer from Bengaluru, but honestly, dance for me is like prayer. Performing Gayatri Mantra solo or Shiva Stuthi with my group, every show feels special. Mysuru Yuva Dasara, opening for A. R. Rahman - pure magic, I’ll never forget that. My Gurus, sunflowers, my cat, ancient temples, small joys - all of this spills into my art. I just try to bring that gratitude and wonder on stage.
