Step into the grace of Bharatanatyam. From foundational adavus to expressive abhinaya, I invite you to explore this divine tradition with me at Brundavan.

This is the moment I feel most alive, when the stage, the story, and the soul become one. Bharatanatyam for me is a prayer in motion, a tradition I am honored to carry forward.

It was a joy to choreograph for the talented dancers of RVCE, who went on to win first place at their fest. I love helping students refine their technique and stage presence for competitions and shows.

Performing at the iconic Mysore Palace for Mysore Dasara is an unforgettable experience. My students get opportunities to perform at prestigious cultural festivals, becoming part of a grand tradition.

A glimpse of a solo performance of 'Chandrashekaram', a piece dedicated to Lord Shiva. In my advanced classes, we delve deep into complex items like this, focusing on both technical precision and spiritual depth.

Abhinaya, or the art of expression, is the heart of Bharatanatyam. Here's a playful take on a modern trend, but it shows the essence of what we practice in my abhinaya classes: telling stories with our face and gestures.

I am humbled and happy to be recognized as a graded artist by Doordarshan. This milestone reinforces my commitment to upholding the authenticity and quality of this classical art form, a standard I bring to all my classes.

Dance is not just for the stage; it is a way of seeing beauty in the world around us. This artistic photoshoot captures the grace and poetry of Bharatanatyam in a natural setting, reflecting the creative spirit I encourage in my students.

About this collection

When you step into my studio, the focus goes beyond just getting the steps right. We prioritize proper technique in a safe space, using impact-absorbing flooring to protect your joints during long practices. My batches are kept intentionally small, allowing me to watch every posture, offer real-time corrections, and ensure that every student, whether a beginner or a senior dancer, truly feels the rhythm in their body.

I teach at Brundavan with a deep respect for the lineage passed down by my gurus, Karnataka Kalashree Smt. K. Brunda and Vidushi Smt. Ananya M. My classes are structured to give every student the attention they deserve, whether you are a beginner taking your first step or an experienced dancer preparing for a complex Varnam.

My Teaching Philosophy

We focus on the 'Margam'—the traditional path of Bharatanatyam—but we also dive deep into 'Abhinaya,' the art of facial expression and storytelling.

  • For Kids & Beginners: We keep it light and joy-filled. We start with basic adavus and introduce Indian mythology through dance to build a love for the art form early on.
  • For Intermediate/Advanced: The training gets intensive. We work on stamina building, complex Nattuvangam concepts, and perfecting body lines (Araimandi) required for stage performance.

I am based in Bengaluru and maintain a family-like atmosphere in the studio. Dance is a way of seeing beauty in the world, and in my classes, we push each other, grow together, and have a lot of fun along the way. If you are looking to master a Thillana for a stage show or simply want to connect with your roots through dance, I am here to guide you.
